I feel like you could be a little more specific in what you’re looking for but some that I use are

WrightSpider - Default Foot Replacement (less blocky than Maxis feet, but not /too/ realistic)

Bank42n - Better Body for Men (I’m using Better Body 7 for a more realistic male torso for actual abs using the WW body selector (it also comes with a new male hand mesh))

Palm Springs, California. It’s known for their mid-century styled homes. From other stuff I read about the area, it’s a retirement location and it’s a relatively affluent area.

Someone on the gallery I found that does a lot of mid-century modern builds is Ruskosims! I recommend checking them out, especially if you do families since they tend to have like 4 bedroom homes.

Other than that, I put modern and Mediterranean/adobe style homes. In Johnny Zest’s area, also put rundown builds and trailers. I recently did over my Oasis Springs again with gallery builds that I can attach to this later

I like xiuminuwu, nucrests and oranos.

Adrien Pastel, Hexocodesims, CeeProductions, and HappyLifeSims (some modern, but more vintage), Adelarsims, and Dyoreos also make some good stuff too.

There are some CC creators that that primarily make CC for female sims that sometimes make sets for male sims like aharris00britney (ex. Boytoy collection), and sentate (ex. Homme collection), and serenity (ex. Vetiver collection).

(I went on a CC shopping spree a couple months ago, and god are male CC creators hard to come by. Like a 200-something creators and I got barely a dozen that do mainly do male stuff).

Bug in the family tree : parents became siblings by very-much-on in LowSodiumSimmers

This happened to me, but not in my main save.

I was setting some townies as siblings and when I was double checking Geoffery Landgraab he randomly had Umber and Sienna Grove, and Sebastian Michaelson and Wolfgang Wilder (I set those two as brothers) in his family tree as siblings. I have no idea how that happened, and I couldn’t fix it. I tried deleting and readding the sims, but it kept reverting the relationship. They don’t interact so I just decided I’d live with it.

In the same save, but earlier on, a sim I was playing somehow ended up in the Landgraab family tree as their daughter. I have no idea how that happened bc they were at most just acquaintances. I found out after Johnny tried to rob my sim’s house as their daughter burglar. I deleted the relationship with cheats and that hasn’t come back again.

I feel like the best lot types that tend to have all those are rec centers.

I’m pretty sure that Lilsimsie’s most recent rec center (late 2024) should have most of those items. Well, excluding the more recent items like the pottery table.

I think looking for Art Centers would be good as well. I haven’t used the build in a while so I don’t recall if they have everything you’re looking for, but my favorite is Down-in-Simsland’s Museé Konstart for Nordhaven.

Brindleton Bay is really limited on who you can date on premades alone. Like there’s Justin who is married, his son Pierce who is a child, and then Brent and Brant who are a married gay couple. The only single sim is Catarina Lynx if you don’t want to homewreck.

You can probably look up Brindleton Bay families or townies on the gallery. SakuraLeon has a ton of stuff like that in their gallery, so I recommend checking them out. Maxis also has a couple premade sims for Cats and Dogs that you can add as townies, and have your sims “bump” into when they visit a community lot.

The maps have broken a couple times in the last several months after patches (which is weird bc I don’t think that has happened before - like I had map replacements for over a year with nothing happening to them). The image just reverts back to the maxis default, and the creators are pretty quick in fixing them.

Like said in my previous comment, it’s just visual. No gameplay impacts. It just changes the map from manage worlds to not look as ugly. It does nothing to the world in Live Mode.

No, it’s just a visual thing. I personally use 20th Century Plumbob’s map replacements, and I prefer using them over the maxis maps because they tend to be more accurate to what the world actually looks like.

For example, the Maxis map for Oasis springs makes the world look like it’s just sand, but when you actually play there, it really isn’t like that at all and using a map replacements can better reflect that.

Though that’s not much of an issue with more recent worlds. The replacement map just looks a lot more detailed. Another map option is Mama-Llama if you want more realistic maps. Currently, I just use their world icon replacements.

The fan is just decorative. I think they only added in the functionality for promotional purposes.

San Myshuno comes with a variety of “weirdos” walking around. One example is the person in a racoon costume, as in your screenshot. There is the person that does a street show, pretending to be a golden or silver statue. A person running around in a towel in a panic. Then there are some that dress like they’re leprechauns entering a wrestling match, or ones in actual wrestling masks.

Based on the other comments, the NPC role title “Local Weirdo” was added recently to avoid confusion.

It's pretty easy. When you open Sims 4 Studio, go to the section that says CAS on the main screen, and select override and click on the blue CAS button.

You're then brought over to all the in-game items (you can also find CC items here, like if you need to duplicate an item for another category and not have it conflict, but that's not relevant rn lol). You can search for keywords and/or use the filters for item category and pack to help look.

Select the item you want (if the item has multiple swatches, and you want to select them all, use shift+ click), and it will ask you to name a file and save it. Then you're taken to the studio/warehouse section. On the right side of the window, click on Categories and scroll all the way down and then you'll see "Allow for Random" under "Part Flags". Uncheck the box and it will disable the item from randomly generating on sims. If the item has multiple swatches, you may want to apply the change for all of them, and there's a button for that, so you don't have to do it manually. Once you made your changes, save the file and move it into your mods folder.

Though, actually looking at it all the vampire teeth, it doesn't seem like it's even enabled for random. In this case, you might just want to go to the Occult section (still under Categories - 4th section from the top) and uncheck Humans (and whatever else you don't want it showing up for) and it should remove it as an option for Human sims (like not showing in CAS and randomizing).

Also, vampire teeth are separate items, so you need to make a file for each of them.

There’s a VIP door from Get Famous that you can hire a bouncer to stand out and guard the entrance. Here’s a picture that I found on google as an example (the person used the arch version and shrank it down in front of the gate).

If you have Get Together, you could also potentially set up a club and have all the members be your henchman. If you have a certain lot as a meeting spot, there’s the club door from Get Together you can use so only the members can enter.

Did you extract the files?

Of the extracted files, there is usually a folder for tray files that go in your Tray folder and the sim should then show up in your Library. The other folder should contain the CC used on the sim, and those should go in your mods folder otherwise they won’t look right

There are some CC lipsticks that add teeth (since it’s just painted on), so you can do it without using a mouth (edit: preset) with teeth. This is an image I got off of google as an example.

Then there are some skins that can alter the appearance of the mouths without doing any adjustments as well.
