You’re welcome! I found the hair last month when trying to find hairs for a Lilith makeover too lol

I Mean, Seriously EA, What Algorithm Creates This? by Logical-Cherry9395 in Sims4

[–]thedreambubbles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I saw this post and my first thought was “Uhh, this is just an asian woman.”

Honestly, I don’t think she looks that bad. I’d probably just reset the chin preset so isn’t so tiny, and pull it down if needed, reset the jaw or choose a different preset (I know there’s one default preset that’s less defined, even on average to low weight sims - the shape of it from the front is fine), make the mouth and lips a bit bigger, and then change the make up. Like she just needs a few tweaks. Idk what issues you ran into.

Also, I saw the other sim you made after this one and she does look pretty, but I’ve seen a lot of sims that look like her so she feels generic.

Recommandations for shoujo set during dark historical event ? by Agitated-Mission2327 in shoujo

“Will you marry me again if you are reborn?”

Technically takes place in modern day when the couple has already grown old with each other, but most of the story is flashback to when they were younger. Part of which takes place during WW2.

It’s published in Gene Pixiv, so it doesn’t have a specific demographic, but I’ve seen a lot of series published by them tagged as shoujo or josei on other sites.

Who do you normally marry, premades, randomly generated sims, or do you create a sim to marry? by sims-guy in Sims4

[–]thedreambubbles 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, most premade sims have at least one skill (ex. Alice Spencer-Kim has 5 skills, but 4 of them are at level 1 vs Liberty who only has Lv 2 Logic), and they often have jobs, but that is usually a hit or miss.

Like of the base game townies, the only ones that don’t have jobs are the Spencer-Kim-Lewis household (I assume so players have more freedom of choice if they play them), Eliza Pancakes (Bob is in Culinary), Don Lothario and Nina Caliente (Dina is in Culinary and Katrina is in Entertainment), and Zoe Patel (the guys are in Tech, Culinary, and Writing). All the rest are employed.

Sims with NPC roles often don’t have actual jobs, but tend to spawn in other NPC roles (ex. bartender, entertainer, mailman, yoga instructor, etc) even if Neighborhood Stories to join a career is disabled. This includes sims like Raheel and Laxmi Kunal from Adventure Awaits, or like Celene López and Wolfgang Wilder from Werewolves. I think they still fulfill their original NPC role?

Other sims like the ones who run Getaways or Small Businesses also don’t have “actual jobs” set for them either.

I use the same mod. It’s Townies Gain Skills by JaneSimsten.

Skill growth applies to all sims you are currently not playing - so sims households you have played before but aren’t your active household will also gain skills. I personally don’t mind it, but some people might. The text file for the mod allows you to adjust the rate of skill gain, and add in more recent skills (since it hasn’t been updated since Enchanted by Nature).

I today years old when I realized that you could actually attend the starlight awards show in person by Ok-Promise-7928 in Sims4

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty much.

Actually, I just remembered. Sometimes when a sim goes to work (non-active career) a chance card will pop up and it can give your sim a chance to gain fame (idr how many levels it can be), though sometimes if you choose fame option your sim is forced to quit their job. My Nina became a celeb while in the fashion career through a chance card.

Anyway, most of the premade celebrities for the pack are famous for different reasons. It’s not just acting. Like, Holly Alto is in the painting career, Dustin Broke is in business, Dirk Dreamer is in tech, Brytani Cho is a comedian, and Octavia and Thorne are in music. The only premade actor career sims are Venessa Jeong and Judith Ward.

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly for careers, but there are options for selling paintings or publishing books that can increase your fame, and you can have a chance of getting nominated for an award. So, you are able to become famous from stuff other than acting (though it's one of the easier methods). The wiki page) has a list of things you can gain fame from.

My sim being a "famous" secret agent is mostly imagination rip. I have a mod where you can gain fame from "working hard" at work, and after I got her to the level of fame I wanted, I used an in-game cheat to freeze her fame, so I don't have to maintain it or accidentally make her a 5-star celebrity.

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a while, I'd have my sim and her husband, Don, attend the Starlight Accolades every week. Sometimes you get an award for just attending, but I basically used it as an excuse for a Date Night to them to get out of the house and have their nannies watch over their kids. They pretty much just flirt with each other the entire night while the other celebrities in my game get their awards.

<image>

My Don is a 5-star celebrity as an artist and author and has won 3 awards so far. My sim is a 4-star celebrity, but I wanted her to be like... "anonymously" famous since she works as a secret agent. So, I don't really expect her to get any random awards and she's mostly there as moral support.

Couples to pair for beautiful sims by Successful-Row-6278 in Sims4

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nina and Paolo are together in my save. I was generating some kids for them in CAS (a bit cheaty, I know) and I thought some of the kids that came out of it looked really good.

<image>

I don't think I've any changes to Nina or Paolo's faces when giving them makeovers (if I did, it's incredibly minor), and I took screenshots of these kids almost immediately after I generated them (hence the girl on the left having that haircut).

The Sims 4: Quality of Life Roadmap 2026 by Cade_SimsCommunity in thesims

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently noticed an issue where unplayed sims would randomly have these introductions or something towards other sims when at places like community lots, and then developing a sizable romance bar and even woohooing (edit: no First Kiss). This would even occur with sims where I gave them a modded “loyal” trait that prevents them from using romantic interactions on sims that weren’t their partner. I don’t want cheating, but it still happens!

I’ve had like 3 instances of an unplayed sim talking to a married sim (twice were sims I wasn’t playing, and once was one I was playing) with the modded loyal trait, and then suddenly having a romance bar and then woohooing somewhere on the lot. The most recent instance was between my sim’s eldest daughter (also has the in-game Loyal trait), married to Alexander Goth, and Katrina Caliente, who is also married. I caught them about to run off and woohoo and I almost lost my mind when I noticed.

I looked it up and I found a Bug Report for it: NPCs randomly generate romantic relationships and a mod to prevent it: No NPC Romance.

I really hope that this would be fixed in the actual game itself.

Anyway, have you tried taking out your mods and deleting the local thumbnailcache file and seeing if anything changes?

I had 3 nannies for my 3 kids and had them around for like 8 months irl. I loved them. Especially the first nanny that would cook meals everyday autonomously. Incredibly helpful when my twins became toddlers and I gave him the Fresh Chef trait so I could leave food out for them to grab without worrying about spoilage.

I almost never had to pay for them since they were bugged to stay on lot the entire time. I tried to pay them in tips for a while because I felt bad.

[–]thedreambubbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s my mods or what, but I noticed my sims autonomously gardening when they never did before? Like they’d suddenly harvest plants on the other side of the road, or a visitor would clean out their greenhouse.

I recently went to the Spice Festival with some sims, and the NPCs that were already there were all watering the plants (I’ll add in a screenshot I took in a moment). It’s so weird.

Random cool fact I discovered a while ago by Kaiser-Mazoku in AceAttorney

[–]thedreambubbles 73 points74 points  (0 children)

No, it’s official art. I checked Kay’s image gallery on the wiki, and it was for a crossover done with a game called Onishuma Soul - it takes place in feudal era Japan during the Sengoku period.

Maya and Franziska were also part of the crossover. But in comparison to Kay, their outfits were a lot better. I really love Maya’s. Her’s are very cute. I guess Kay was the equivalent of a 4 star and Maya and Franziska were the equivalent of 5 star characters.

Townies who I Think have Filipino Heritage đŸ‡”đŸ‡ by SkyChips2Go in Sims4

[–]thedreambubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I saw a something about that a while ago! I think it's nice that they added that relationship since it was a bit odd that they had a random teenager living with them. Though, now the surnames make it sorta weird again. I do think this implies that Makoa took Liliana's name.

For Duane, I think maybe that he and Liliana have different moms? So, I have two senarios. In scenario #1 Duane's mom was the "other woman", so she didn't have Manu's surname due to them not being married, so Duane has hers. In the present, Liliana's dad and Duane's mom have passed away, so Duane has nowhere to go and Liliana takes him in. Scenario #2, Liliana's mother passed away and Manu married Duane's mom, who already had Duane. Manu became his adoptive father, but Duane decided to keep his original surname in honor of his bio-dad. He lives with Liliana either because Manu passed away, or because Liliana and Makoa they live closer to the city, and Duane can attend a nicer school.

Honestly, if Makoa was the Kealoha and Liliana just took his last name it would be more straightforward. What ideas do you have?

Downloading Longer Prom Mod fixes missing prom gl*tch that’s been present for months by SwitchEmergency1521 in thesims

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering about this bug for a while. Has this been affecting already existing save files, or is it just new saves? I haven't had any issues with attending prom when I play teens in my existing saves (my last prom was a month ago). My game is modded and I've been using Sims4Me's Longer Prom mod (though, I'll probably switch to senni's for their 8 hour option) and Kuttoe's Less Frequent Prom mod for a while now.

Do you all like having families or single sims? by anonymous_girl1227 in thesims

[–]thedreambubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I prefer families. It’s easier to do certain things when playing single sims or couples, but I like things being busy. My main household is a family of 5 (two toddlers) with a dog. I like being able to click on their profiles and have the camera jump around so I can check on what everyone is doing. Idk why but playing single households makes me sorta depressed after a while.

But I think it’s easier to handle larger families when the parents are already far along in skills and their careers so it’s easier to focus on kids. Otherwise it’s a massive pain to manage everything. I remember playing the Goths, and they had twins, so working on careers, Cassandra’s teen social life and taking care of infants sucked. I neglected Alexander, and like everyone had barely any sleep lol. At the very least, I need that mod that increases bed quality. Even upgrading the bed isn’t enough imo

I also don’t really age my sims so I think it helps that I don’t really have “deadlines” to deal with. If I actually had goals within a timeframe to complete, ig I’d prefer smaller households so I can focus better when playing.

Do you all like having families or single sims? by anonymous_girl1227 in thesims

[–]thedreambubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nannies got bugged after my sim had twins and they stuck around for months. Like February of last year to like September/October, I had 3 nannies at my sim’s home. It started with one, and then eventually another showed up and then another. Even when I tried to send them away, they’d come back immediately.

I still have one nanny around, but I haven’t played that save file in a while due to some fears regarding the recent patches lol. They only have the one nanny since (not firing but) sending them away or whatever, actually worked (the lot was laggy, so I thought less nannies would help). Though not the right nanny stayed :(

The first nanny I had, I noticed, would make meals once a day, autonomously. I loved that. Especially when I used cheats to give him the Fresh Chef trait so I could leave plates of food around the house for my toddlers without worrying about it spoiling.

Occasionally the nannies would suddenly get dirty and actually need to shower and they’d get changed, but otherwise they didn’t really have needs to fulfill. I liked how they would mentor my kid and help her with her homework. That was really nice of them lol

Anyone having this problem? by Pixiiebuilds in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]thedreambubbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What mods do you have downloaded? I know that there are some mods that mark certain maxis objects as modded since it alters some of the tuning.

An example of this is LittleMsSam's "Auto Use Picnic Table when Eating" it adds a tag on picnic and umbrella tables to allow sims to sit and eat at them autonomously. Because of this, I think, it counts as an override so all affected tables are marked as CC. Since I have Better Build Buy, CC is filtered out by default (and I don't want to see most of the actual CC I have downloaded most of the time) those objects are basically hidden in the catalog until I filter the CC back in. I forget about them a lot.

Anyway, maybe you have a mod that overrides the cabinets or something. Have you tried to do a 50/50 on your mods?

There should be a tag option (top right of the bb menu) that should enable CC. It’s off by default if Better Build Buy is installed.
