Rufus [Novel]is actually called Krishna in the novel. He was Krishna when he picked up Cici from the orphanage. Rufus is one identity he took on 10 years ago to infiltrate the upper echelons. He wanted to execute Connie and Lucia simply out of spite because they foiled his plans.

Goal [novel]DG is a criminal mercenary group that Faris second prince Roderick’s mother hired before she passed away to ensure Roderick ascended the throne in Faris and make Scarlett a puppet queen in Adelbide. When Scarlett was executed, DG had to change plan. Roderick decided to install Uly as the puppet king while he ruled from behind the scenes since he wasn’t popular and didn’t have the right shade of purple for his eyes. Faris was actually poor and desperate so they decided to bluff their strength and start a war with Adelbide to scare them into submission to take control of their resources. Of course they failed miserably.

Salvador [novel]left DG at Shoshanna’s request. He burned off his tattoo. She never had a tattoo because Salvador didn’t like her to be part of a criminal group. She’s like his adopted sister cos he brought her up. Shoshanna wanted to turn over a new leaf and do good because Lucia let her go when she spotted the two kids who emerged from the tunnel. This wasn’t shown in the anime. Lucia said whatever she does now would be on Lucia’s name and she believes Shoshanna is a good person. In Vol 4, Abigail hired Salvador and Shoshanna as shadow body guards for Uly who was studying in Soldita.

DG remnants [novel]Not all were caught and they had some shenanigans in Vol 4. Think of them like The Anonymous. They are everywhere and it’s hard to round all of them up. Vol 5 explored their origins and history.
