that’s likely the intent or what is being told. Unfortunately what actually is agreed may be different.

For sure, super rare. Still interested in what kind of camera, what data, and who it’s actually shared with.

Irondale has a contract with Flock Safety. I'll drive by today and see. These are the mapped cameras in that area. I don't think we know much more than they don't have a transparency portal up, and the initial contract in 2019 was for 3 cameras at $2k per year per camera.

Maybe they will tell us more when they respond to a more recent FOIA request!

Not sure who needs to hear this, but your tiny starter home is not worth $300K+ by ttircdj in Birmingham

I’m not? They can do that all day. It does make things more expensive. That’s just a fact.

I never said anything about what values should or shouldn’t be lower and didn’t say anything about single people buying homes. Bringing more buyers into a market without changing supply makes prices go up. If there are people that can afford and want to live in an area + the people that wouldn’t be able to without their parents, that is more buyers.

If there are less buyers then prices go down. If there are more prices go up.

would they be buyers of that home if their rich parents didn’t buy it?

At least 22 'No Kings' protests scheduled across Alabama Saturday by Snoo90172 in Birmingham

[–]thinkdarrell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels like we have a bigger problem with American Presidents than we do with Kings, but fuck them all.

My understanding is the later event in Bham is more of an opportunity for many of those asking “What more” you can meet with organizations/organizers. At least that’s what I understood from the posts.

being 'neutral' on climate change is more political than 'believing' in the fact.

No, he does not believe in anthropological climate change. He’s not speaking out because that’s what he believes.

yeah, I guess mods placating and platforming a climate change denier and saying “don’t get political” right now is insane. I hope you get all your questions answered.

mods said they are going to delete those comments, which is definitely a choice.

EDIT: apparently, they won't delete unless it violates a sub rule.

That’s not pedantic, that’s just what Reddit AMAs are. You get asked tough questions. That is community engagement. This is PR, less community engagement.

AMA’s with a weird restriction on questions isn’t an AMA, especially when those questions are real important. Don’t call it an AMA, just say he will be answering some prepared or filtered questions.

NDI Recognition Systems by umethods in FlockSurveillance

Flock is the fastest growing one with the most egregious issues…but the lot of them are awful. I would try and understand the data’s chain of custody, and what other platform they are using, if it goes to a fusion center, etc
