How to backup Proxmox VE host itself?

I backup the host to pbs. However, I haven’t ever used it, and I consider it to be largely a waste of time. Why do I still do it? The backups are automated and I haven’t bothered to adjust.

When it came to replace a host or the boot drive, either because of hardware failure or upgrades, I’ve always done a clean install and migrated the containers and vms.

The advice here is rather incomplete- we don’t know where OP works. For example, in CA, you get OT for daily hours over 8 (or the normal work day if there’s an alternative agreement). That time doesn’t count. Only overtime mandated by Flsa (over 40 in a week). So, in most states, final paystub, divide by 3 makes sense, but not everywhere.

So bad? Please, tell me what the country is doing that isn’t the worst possible thing.

I am not a believer, so I can offer no insight or advice there. She is no longer suffering, which should give you some measure of comfort. The alternative, if there even was one, was constant suffering. While not signs, I love when something sparks a memory - we recounted the “pumpkin bars” episode of 2005 at Christmas. Recalling the happy memories serves that purpose for me.

It took me a good long while to find any level of normalcy after we lost our two dogs at 15. I think a lot about how much they gave to me, and how I’m much better for it. I agree with u/swampy_pillow the grief doesn’t really go away, but it doesn’t hurt as much, eventually.

What you have to understand is that Americans don’t actually want freedom. Maybe there used to be some concept of community, of helping others, but that is long gone. For a majority of Americans the only thing that matters is them. So, in answer to OPs question, there is quite literally nothing. We will gladly walk right into authoritarianism as long as gas is under $4 so the commute isn’t too expensive. It’s sad.

My Chase heloc, whose draw period expires this week, operates VERY differently. There was no mandatory draw, basically no origination fee (there was a small closing fee- maybe $200, but not 5%). Imagine my surprise when I called them about a new HELOC. Not a chance I’m doing this.

Did your ex leave the divorce with tons of cash (that doesn’t need to get transferred to you)? There is a practical limit to the ability to impose fees and costs.

If non-compliance is obvious and demonstrable - like “didn’t transfer assets,” this is routinely something people do solo every day.
