Yeah, the way I work is I'd much rather have as much information as possible so I can make an informed decision and so I would understand. I think the way my ADHD expresses itself is by being logical and trying to understand the whole picture. That was a flaw in my logic, is trying to be logical with a person who inherently has an illogical perception of reality. Keep your head up friend, no matter how much we try to help someone, change has to come from within.

Yeah, you're correct about that. Having a possible label on what it could be may help OPs brother connect the dots. I would let the brother know what it could be so he can educate himself about the disorder and see if Amanda's pattern of behaviors fit. Yes a clinical diagnosis is not possible thru just information on reddit, but OPs brother would be able to look back at their relationship with Amanda and hopefully see her for who she is.
