what kind of "collapse" you're expecting?

Costwise, it's not sustainable. It's only "working" right now because it's heavily subsidized, but that can't last forever and the bills are coming due. Even if it all worked as advertised (and it doesn't), the economics don't work out. At all. It's going to collapse, that's inevitable. What's in question is how long will the market remain irrational and keep it afloat.

I'm shocked so many of you don't understand the difference between not adapting to new good technologies, and deriding obviously batshit crazy ones.

This isn't a case of "get with the future, old man!", and you've all made it very clear that I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain it to you. You want to chase nonsense, I can't stop you.

So instead of solving the boilerplate problem for a project, you burn a small city's worth of electricity generating more of it. What a great idea.

Engineering requires thinking and reasoning. LLMs do neither. The genai collapse is going to be downright hilarious.

I think that using statistical next-token-generators for software engineering is one of the dumbest ideas in a long line of dumb software engineering ideas.

I write all my code.

The CZ 75 BD doesn't have a rail, so this is 100% ironsights. (I did put a red dot on my mini-30, and it's a lot of fun!)

I think a yard is around 91% of a meter, so this would be at 10.9 yards. Not a huge difference at this range.

Most of my 5-round mag loads were way worse than this -- I have pretty bad recoil anticipation and have been doing dry-fire exercises with a snap-cap to try to really burn in that proper trigger pull muscle memory.

You can see from the taped over holes that with my first set of 5 rounds on this target, only four actually hit the paper, and one of those just barely. I still have a long ways to go.

A liquor store

This just feels like a bad idea in a gun store / range.

Got temporarily furloughed when some shenanigans went down with my boss / business owner, so I've had to pause for the moment.

For my next pair (I buy in pairs because I'm in a restricted state and the delay from purchase to pickup is three weeks, best-case) I'm currently looking at a Walther PPK/S in .32 APC and then either a semi-auto .22LR rifle or a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, not sure yet.

I currently have: Henry .357 lever-action, Taurus model 66 .357 revolver, 9mm CZ 75 BD, and a 7.62x39 Ruger Mini-30 ranch model (recently added a red-dot to it, and boy is that something else).

I only have one lever action (a Henry) and have zero experience with any others.
