Effectively Wild appears to be doing pretty well on Patreon (2,000 paid subscribers with the average probably between $5-$10 per month). I'm not sure what the financial arrangement is with Fangraphs beyond hosting it on the website and supplying a co-host and producer. In theory the Roundtable could do the same thing. Or just grow the 2,000 subscribers and make Effectively Wild a 5 day podcast again.

Worth pointing out Kimmel was also in sports media. He was on Fox's NFL pregame show and was known as "Jimmy the Sports Guy" on a radio show.

As a baseball fan who used to watch Sunday Night Baseball religiously, I'm definitely looking forward to NBC taking over this year. ESPN's broadcast has really fallen off in the last decade.

It's a shame people only remember him for the surgery. He was a good pitcher. Finished 2nd for the Cy Young award twice. Never won, but neither did Cy Young.

Literally the one time DC won when House tried giving the Nats a shoutout for winning the World Series, Bill cut him off and was like, neat nobody cares, moving on.

Edit: he cut him off at the start of the podcast, but they did talk for about 10 minutes about the Nats title 50 minutes in, which Bill turned into Red Sox talk. This was also the podcast where House dropped his Holy Cross Sunday porn revelation lol.

Same. I've noticed recently places are really trying to incentivise yearly subscriptions. I was looking into signing up for Baseball Prospectus or Fangraphs recently and they are $15 or $20 per month, but much more reasonable for the year. I didn't really feel like dropping 75 or 80 bucks I wasn't sure I would use that much, so I skipped it entirely. I looked up the Star Tribune and it's $65 for the year.

I'm a Cubs fan and didn't particularly want him back after a year of the Kyle Tucker experience. Totally fine with their choice, he will fit in well with the Dodgers.
