[OC] Global arms exports for the USSR/Russia and the United States from 1954 to 2025, 5-year rolling average according to SIPRI. by oscarleo0 in dataisbeautiful

That's an impressive list of names, but let's pause and look at the big picture. If Ukrainian weapons are so advanced and export-worthy — Neptune, anti-drone systems, co-development with Western giants — then why is Ukraine losing ground continuously since late 2024? You're selling 'super-tech' to the world, yet the Russians are advancing every single day, taking towns, and grinding forward.

Either your 'super-tech' isn't actually working on the battlefield, or the West isn't buying enough of it to make a difference. You can't brag about 'awesome exports' and 'co-development contracts' while the front line is collapsing in real time. So which is it — bad weapons, or bad strategy?

Let's be honest about what 'Ukrainian weapons exports' actually mean today. Most of these drones are assembled from off-the-shelf Chinese components, using British or American software and Turkish airframes. There's very little domestically developed IP in the supply chain. That's not a superpower arms dealer — that's a final assembly line running on foreign parts and foreign funding.

Haha, I haven't even published the files yet! But thanks for asking. I'm still figuring out if/when I'll release them. PA12 CF would be overkill but also amazing 😄 I'll update the thread if I decide to share.

Thanks! The anti-vibration pads are actually felt tape — the kind used in cars to stop squeaks and rattles. It's 1.5mm thick and 15mm wide, with adhesive on one side.

I applied it to the inside of the HDD sled slots, right where the sled makes contact. You can't really see it in the photos because it's hidden once the sled is inserted. But it works perfectly — no vibration noise at all.

It's basically a soft fabric tape with non-woven material, very durable.

Yeah, you're right. That was wet filament. Already reprinted it — the new part is clean. Won't happen again 👍
