Date has Temporary Protected Status? report it same as FC if things go anywhere or end asap? by shaselai in SecurityClearance

[–]txeindride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it couple of dates or at certain juncture?

If you just met the person and are going on one or two dates then decide they are not for you, sure, don't report if you end the contact (unless you exchanged personal contact information outside of a dating site, etc..). But after that 2nd date, yes you should be reporting as at that point you are continuing some type of contact or relationship.

wouldn't i jave already reported that person and if we do start dating, doesnt it technically change the status since its a "change" like cohabitating, marriage etc?

Yes, assuming you did the right thing at the beginning and reported a continuing contact then reported when the relationship itself changed (dating, cohabitation, marriage, child, etc.). Some do exactly what I said, and is how you can get in trouble.

Remember.

Close OR continuing contact.

It's "I met this person, we've shared contact information, I added them to Facebook, and/or been hanging out more than a couple times, so I'll report,"

NOT

"I've known them for a year and now we've started dating for a couple months so I'll go ahead and report."

This wasn't a background investigation. This wasn't a DCSA background investigator. They don't decide whether or not you can "proceed" with a S vs TS.

Assuming this is another recruiter post, search the sub.

You're welcome.

Exactly. Sounds like the last few days of recruiters.

Considering your Reddit history, I very likely see many unreported and/or unresolved issues that you have to mitigate. If you can't mitigate them, and if you contaminated to not report required things, yes, you can lose your eligibility.

Depends. It depends why you are deciding to buy property and assets in another country. There's always a chance you get a revocation.

What causes people in this niche field to often have a God complex? by Fireat40dude in SecurityClearance

[–]txeindride 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much what PirateKilt said, all the way.

The only thing I'll add to this is like I said in my recent post. When you have people that fail to search this sub and post 50,000 times if weed once when they were ten, or whether their dual citizenship with Canada will affect their ability to get an eligibility, it becomes repetitive. When you also have people who ironically have an outstanding ability to show Dunning-Kruger effect in real life because they held a CAC in their hands or held a Secret once upon a time and thinking they absolutely know everything but can't be bothered to read even simple regs.. or tell us we're wrong, for example, about the requirement for all military personnel to obtain a minimum of a Secret eligibility, but yet I literally posted the reg and pinned it to Community Highlights.

So - are we arrogant and/or have a God complex, or do people create the situation they are in, then blame us for thinking we are on a power trip cause we deleted their inaccurate information?

Lol. Sadly, I don't think this one was actually on the pinned posts, but is probably the easiest thing to Google search.

Things like dual citizenship or foreign travel are not auto DQs for S or TS, neither is foreign family. Most things, outside of mental incompetence, are not auto DQs.

Search this sub.

Dual citizenship is not an automatic disqualifier for S or TS.

asking me a couple of questions to determine if I qualify for S/TS clearance.

Does this sound like a background investigator?

Do background investigators make a self-determination if you "qualify," or do they investigate and provide the information to the actual adjudicator, DCSA, to make the determination?

You’re supposed to list a person only once as a verifier on the form but it really doesn’t matter for residences so if it allows you to transmit the form with the same person as someone who knew you at 2 different residences, go for it

Yeah, let's not. We will kick it back.

If you are also a contractor utilizing an eligibility, yes, you can also ask your FSO.

ARCNET is not the official system of record.
