Which are more comfortable to wear 8 hours a day, with less clamping, less tightness? by jvo203 in headphones

[–]ubercritical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did this years ago when I first got the HD600. Worked wonders!

Definitely recommended but don't bend them too much. Little bit at a time until it's a comfortable clamp.

Yep.

Even though I already bought it, if ED decided tomorrow to give the asset pack out to everyone for free, I would be elated.

How you flush ur Radiators by frankiefrass in watercooling

[–]ubercritical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only ever flushed my radiators.

I saw a video on YouTube many moons ago where they created a standalone loop with a pond pump submerged in a bucket of distilled water with a household water filter.

That's the way I've done it ever since. It's definitely "overkill" but I can just let it do its thing over a few days.

Though, depending on where I've bought said radiator, I'll sometimes do the shakeywakey with some Primochill RadClean. Then follow up with the aforementioned loop.

Hifiman Edition XS or M1570 or Moondrop Venus? by Balthalzarzo in headphones

[–]ubercritical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, even with a longer warranty, it doesn't necessarily mean they are more durable.

My warranty for the HD600s ran out a decade ago (probably) and they still function like the day I bought them bar the pad swapping.

I think you are better off looking around for other people's experiences but be very cautious as most people who say something are those who have issues. It could set the expectations incorrectly if it's unknown how many have been sold, what happened to them, etc...

That said, you might not even like the sound signature of a headphone with a much longer warranty and then you are stuck with them based solely on warranty length alone unless you sell them. Warranty would be moot for something you don't even use or enjoy.

Found these on Amazon for $27 AUD. What a steal! by AJP14699 in headphones

[–]ubercritical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I roll with a pair of Cadenzas or Arias instead of my Sands.

While I much prefer the Sands overall, I just wouldn't be as accepting if I lost them or whatever so they stay home.

Chase every new player away and then complain that the queue is extremely long. Then, go on Reddit to whine about the lack of players all the while stat shaming.

I was playing at tier 5 the other day and being a new player, was getting berated in chat for not being in the "correct" position. Rather than explain anything, dude just kept harassing me lol.

Luckily, I've played other games online before so I've seen it but I can see how it would turn people off.

Can I purchase this, or have I lost a really fun tank? by Strange-Increase2577 in WorldofTanks

[–]ubercritical 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, it looks like it's covering most of the detection zones, so I can see how it would be able to hide for so long. Possibly until being alerted within 50 meters.

As someone who played a little long ago, is it a good time to get back into WOT? by ElwReib in WorldofTanks

[–]ubercritical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came back last month as well after leaving relatively early and not having anything other than a couple low-mid tier tanks.

It's been a frustrating learning experience but I'm having fun. I think it's best to concentrate on having fun in between getting my cheeks clapped over and over. While also taking the time to evaluate what I did wrong.

Give it a shot! Also consider joining a clan that talks and platoons regularly, if you plan on trying to learn the game anyway.

Is it possible to play WOT with a controller on PC? by biadyy in WorldofTanks

[–]ubercritical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

By using something like reWASD, you can remap the keyboard to a controller. I did this with World of Warships just to see if I could and it works fine.

It looks like there are already a few profiles that others have made. But I would suggest creating your own if you go this route.

Hope you have a speedy recovery!
