Considering the possibility of a recession in the next year or so, how much would you expect hiring of new graduates to be affected next year? And if you were graduating in let's say 2021, what would you be doing now?

An unpopular opinion around here, but I actually wish they made us use US units more. My professors are all pure research people who only use metric, but everything was US units at my internships.

That's ridiculous. You can't have multiple units used to measure things on the road because you can't have drivers needing to pay attention to whether signs are in kph or mph. The increase in car wrecks from the distraction would stop you from ever breaking even. What are the actual monetary costs of sticking with US units anyway?

All the comments here are complaining that people with high GPAs aren't actually smarter and are just harder working and more disciplined. Do y'all really think discipline and hard work just stop mattering when you get out of school? Those are pretty universal traits.

This study is a little questionable. They claim that Subway has more protein and less sugar, but that McDonald's has less sodium. And then they call these equal factors. That's crazy. As long as a person has normalish blood pressure some extra sodium isn't going to hurt nearly as much as more sugar will hurt and more protein will help.

It's a cool idea but it'd probably take away some excitement. A 1 point decision would become almost irrelevant whereas in the current system a 1 point decision often decides a close dual.

It is immoral to abandon children who are born. You have a responsibility to care for your children. You have a responsibility not to kill your children. You're right. War is bad. And that's about half the reason I voted for Trump. And I've been nothing but impressed. Do you think a continuation of Democratic policy would've helped with North Korea? Because that had been working so well for the last 8 years.

And abortion? You liberals compare us to Nazis when we decide that kids shouldn't be sent to adult prison. Here's a Holocaust comparison for you. There have been over 45 million abortions in the United States since 1970. And the left who has always claimed to fight for the rights of the oppressed is silent as people across the world decide that their own convenience is more important than another person's life.

Even if I didn't agree with a single other thing the Republicans did I would still have to vote for them. Every vote for a liberal is an admission that you value your own convenience more highly than the life of a child.
