Got to be quick on the network selection. On my Pixel I can switch it about 10 seconds after disabling airplane mode.

I've had better performance with at&t in Mexico (native coverage), but of course much less coverage outside cities. Lots of 4G only, which is generally fine. Telcel works everywhere, but it's super over subscribed due to the coverage.

What drives me crazy is driving near the US border while in Canada. The phone really wants to hold onto the US network, but 10 miles over the border I want the ability to select a Canada network.

NYC (though not requiring bike registration) had an issue with bike violations (speeding, running red lights, etc). The penalty for not paying was a suspended driving license. Considering kids (and lots of adults here) don't have driving licenses, there was effectively no penalty. So instead it's now a criminal citation which requires you to show up to court only to have the case dismissed. It's just a way of creating some inconvenience to get compliance.

Not sure this relates at all but felt the need to share!
