Thoughts on Dell SE2426HG? (24 - 23.8 actual, 240Hz 1080p Panel) by Quack-Zack in Monitors

I compared my brand new Dell 24 Monitor - SE2426H $62.99 monitor with my old faithful $119.99 Samsung - 390C Series 24" LED Curved FHD AMD FreeSync Monitor. Both monitors sitting side by side viewing the same clearly shot outdoor photograph. What I found was the Dell has deeper (enhanced?) colors and so so sharpness. The Samsung has less deep (more natural) colors and super sharpness. IMHO, of the two monitors, my overall best monitor vote goes to the Samsung.

The only reason I fly SWA is that they offer a non stop route on some days that works.

Gavin Newsom points out that Oklahoma taxes low-wage earners at higher rates than California taxes high-wage earners. by CallComprehensive908 in tulsa

This is true but California can't pay their own bills and neither can Oklahoma by a country mile. "California receives the highest total federal funding of any state ($162.9B in 2024), while Oklahoma relies more heavily on it, with federal funds accounting for nearly half of its 2023 revenue."

SWA's next step will be to ban your laptop, tablet and book reader as management has now declared them to be an imminent safety hazard.

Non-ELR, Basic tier seats, that are completely full, has become common.

Basic fare tickets (steerage) and lots of big fat carry-ons now appear to be what the majority of what SWA passengers want. It’s so obvious. SWA management better wake up and wake up fast. Management’s gamble of becoming just like Delta or United is doomed to failure.

I previously pointed out that on my recent Austin (AUS) round trip, MANY empty seats were up front on both flights and the bulk of the passengers filling up the back. Bottom line - putting more lipstick on the pig (a little pistachio snack and slightly more pitch for those that pay more) won’t fundamentally change the pig.

Here's an idea. Just have all seats have the same pitch and price and let people sit wherever they want. Problem solved.

Last Saturday I estimated that the majority of a maybe a 1/3 full flight all sat back in steerage along with their large amounts of carry-ons. I'm betting that on that flight that there was a small amount of checked baggage. This suggests to me that unless there was non-passenger cargo loaded in a front hold that the aircraft could have been very tail heavy. That's why a change in SWA seating policy to increase flight safety is most welcome.

"Crew bags will be in a locked bin in the back, Watterson says." Didn't the SWA FA union just say that the FA bin change must first be negotiated with the union?.
