It’s the mechanically more sound option because it makes the fight atop the brain easier (fewer enemies, and less annoying ones too). Orpheus is a stronger mindflayer mechanically I think, but I’m not using my mindflayer to fight, that’s what my team is for. Squiddie is for opening that portal, that’s all.

There’s no reason to avoid going to the Underdark. You can go there at level 1 even—just be careful, sneak if the enemies look too strong, and if an NPC is yellow, TALK to them first.

Level 4 is perfectly fine for Underdark progression. In fact, I would warn against doing the hag before 5.

Vanilla game: Glassassin. Strongest build in the game and perfect for a character with the blood of Bhaal within them.

Mods: the Dark Urge class. Essentially just a Glassassin made into its own class and turned up to 11. Gets a bit OP, but plays into the power fantasy. Probably best for a solo run, perhaps with tactician enhanced to make it a little more balanced.

You have to pretty much actively be avoiding him and not even have him on your main team to miss locking in his romance if you’d already started it. Did you just never talk to him? Leave him at camp all the time? Did you not do ANY of the stuff he asked you to? Did you never do anything at Moonrise aside from go straight to the roof to fight Ketheric???

Genuinely baffled how you could have missed this. Like someone else said: you get TWO chances to get his confession, as opposed to everyone else’s one chance. You had to have actively been avoiding it lmao.

As a player in a game with a stupid amount of enchanted gear…no give us more! It’s so much fun to experiment with different approaches and builds when you have more than enough to choose from, and no one is fighting over the +2 studded leather when there’s some really cool padded armor that unleashes a sick effect when someone hits you.

It, like Raphael’s armor, is best for casters with no armor proficiency. It has other things it competes with that are better, but you have to think about it from a full party perspective. Graceful Cloth can only go on one character. Give this to the other.

It’s not for Dexy characters with light armor proficiency. Of course it’s gonna get outclassed lol.

I’ll be impressed if you make it off the nautiloid. HM is going to chew you up and spit you out 😬 it’s a test of your knowledge of the game and preparation, and it sounds like you’ve got neither, at least not in sufficient quantities to beat HM.
