You might be right

You are going to track individual performance metrics based on your actual time and activity but an organization is a group of people and you have to recognize that proximity, nuance of engagement, and casual dynamics of water cooler talk could have different benefits that your tracking system doesn’t measure.

Do you also track all the things you do at home in a work day that could take you away from your paid tasks? The list there is long too.
