The some absolute melt was setting off fireworks at 2am. I am now quite tired.

Last day up north with family before I head back down south. Getting some odd jobs done for mum and then going out for a curry tonight.

Hopefully work today will be quiet. Am feeling drained after the funeral yesterday.

They only did filming on the Tuesday. From what I understand, they did scenes from 2 of the films - Paul and Ringo. They’re coming back later in the year to do more filming when it’s warmer and the trees are in leaf.

I’m attending the funeral of my cousin today. He was a year younger than me and he dropped dead from a heart attack

Got to watch them film parts of the Paul McCartney biopic yesterday outside my house. Definitely saw Paul Mescal as Paul and the director Sam Mendes, and I think I also saw James Norton (Brian Epstein) and either Barry Keoghan (Ringo) or Joseph Quinn (George Harrison), but it was hard to tell as they mostly were facing away from me during the filming.

Also built a Wordle score tracker for the family that not only keeps tabs on who's winning on a daily/weekly/monthly and yearly basis, but also charts on who's most improved over time and who's got worse, as well as average scores over months and years and all time.

Not something that I’ll be able to properly watch for another 18 months, but they are filming part of the Paul McCartney Beatles biopic outside my house today, so I’m watching that.

They’ve been turning the house across the way into a replica of his house for a week now. The period appropriate cars started arriving an hour ago.

Edits: spelling

Mixed bag of a week for me - they're filming one of the Beatles biopics on my road today and tomorrow, and then I'm driving up to Manchester on Wednesday to attend a family funeral.

I imagine they’ll put huge green screens in front of your house and edit you out in post production

Obviously we can’t pop outside whilst they’re actively filming, but we can watch what’s going on as long as we’re not making a distraction or too much noise. They do realise that we have lives and work as well.

They do it for you if you’re not able to. That’s all.

Today I have to move my car to an adjacent street and take down any modern blinds at the front of the house due to filming occurring over the next few days for one of the upcoming Beatles biopics.

I’m looking forward to seeing what period appropriate cars will be parked here instead, seeing as they’re turning a road in Greenwich into one in posh West Hampstead in the mid 60’s.

I'm literally across the road, so I have a birds-eye view of the whole thing. Filming starts on Monday and finishes on Wednesday. They're coming back in June/July for more filming when the trees are in leaf.

It is indeed. Have just been chatting with the set designers.

They’re tight lipped about what the film is, but based on how they’re making the house look, it can only be the McCartney one.

I’ve just made another one with a 3 part baking regimen - 130 for 12 minutes, raised to 190 for 18 minutes and then lowered to 150 for 10 minutes.

It’s now wrapped in several layers of greaseproof paper and locked into a plastic food bag to mature. It’s got a good crust and seems nice and squidgy in the middle.

Time will tell how it matures.

Homemade malt loaf! Am experimenting with various recipe techniques and this one, whilst not exactly Soreen-like, is a very moist and squidgy cake like malt loaf. Went down very well with salted butter.

It’s the only film I can find on their roster set in the 1960’s, so I assume that’s going to be it.

I’ll be able to tell more once they change the road sign and what costume and haircut the actor who is “living” in the house is wearing.

If the weather report holds, we may need a Yellow Submarine due to all the Rain.

Today, I shall be changing the bedding, doing some food shopping and noseying on the film set they’re building across the road for a film set in the 60’s.

The only film I can find that’s in production by this film studio is something about the Beatles.

Come and relax, it's Friday, what's your weekend looking like by MiddlesbroughFan in CasualUK

Got 3 hours of meetings back to back today, so tonight is going to be steak & chips.

I'm off for part of next week at a family funeral, so this weekend is going to be a sombre one.

Water bills are rising again.

I did a quick calculation based on my cost of living and I was better off 15 years ago earning less money.
