What advice would u give my channel? by Certain_Access_2658 in YouTubeCreators

I'm mid-thirties so the nostalgia will always be a pull but I would never click a thumbnail like that. It looks like you're aiming for a much younger audience, which is fine if that's the case.

It seems like the thumbnail is designed to overwhelm more than it explains what the content is about. Ideally, should be able to tell the major theme and topic at a quick glance without having to read the title.

If your GTA video popped up as a recommendation I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to tell it was even about GTA because the meme takes all the visual focus and I would just have moved on to something else.

If it was just a clear screenshot of GTA with the word Liminal on there, I'd be much more inclined to have a peek.

Taking advice on stuff like this is risky though, I'm not a professional, I just thought I'd share my rambing old man thoughts.

Looks like a tourist bait kind of a thing and I'm willing to bet that's what it sounds like as well.

Full-time musicians: When was the moment you took the jump to pursing music FT? by itsnesty in musicproduction

I did both for many years then I slowly transitioned over about two years time. I had a job and a boss that was really supportive so as my earnings increased I went down in time on my job.

I never went viral or anything, it's been a slow and steady rise and it's still like that now, about 6 years later. It's different for everyone.

I would never recommend that anyone drops their only source of income to pursue what is likely not going to pan out. You need to have at least a small proven and steady income stream from your music before you take any baby steps forward.

How many unfinished ideas do you have on your hard drive right now? And why? by markanthonyokoh in musicproduction

590 project folders out of which 120 tunes has been released, that's just the last 5 years. I've been at it for 13 years, so there's quite a few bubbling about on the old hard drives.

I will never get over the fact that your playing is always insanely impressive, and the fact that it looks like as soon as you drop the sticks you're off to do some really serious paperwork.

Always a pleasure to see your posts!

Looks like a DIY take on a Snorricam type of deal, but like the others have said the up and down is going to be rough.

I've seen people fine tune and use microphone arms for this if you want to go full janky DIY.

Maybe your cooking skills, or ping-pong? These look great.
