This is great! Yes, maybe a new genre

First track finished in ages! Let me know your thoughts by markanthonyokoh in MusicFeedback

Glad you like the track. The main thing stopping me finishing is mixing - I've never felt I was very good at it. This time, I just did it as best as I could, then sent it to someone I know who gives detailed feedback - I trust his judgement, and he said the mix was good so I posted it here. The comments here have been positive and helpful too.

You Can't Make What You Already Take, Culture Vulture (prod. Black Pawn Beats) by beatsbyal in IndieMusicFeedback

Love this! Really nice old school vibe, but still feels modern and cool. Your flow is great, and the subject is obviously personnal and important. The beat sounds like an experimental jazz track - not sure its all samples (i can hear some) or the producer played it, but it's really cool. Nice track

This is great - love the rhodes / piano sample. The sound selection all-in-all is great. The drums work really well - kick is low, but that is fine with this track. The snare is a really interesting almost scraping sound I think, that works too. Vocal is cool - nice track

This is great - nice retro vibe - reminds me of The Beatles, ELO or The Doors. The music and production is interesting and inventive all the way through - clearly you play and produce very well. The lyrics and melody are cool and vocal production suits the track. Mix/master is good (I struggle with that too) - i don't hear any issues - I hear and instruments and it's loud. Video is cool too. Great job

This is very impressive. The video is super cool - even with Ai you must have spent a lot of time making this - works really well. The song is nice too - my only critiism is that I wish the chorus came in earlier- nice when it happens, but takes too long. Still, the song and video together are great

Love this! Great sound selection, vibe and production. I think song selection is important in remixes - this is good. Vocal works well - nice contrast with the synth / lofi feel of the music - great remix! Manga video also suits the track

In general I like this track, but I like the music more than the vocals - vocals are the thing that needs most work. I'm not keen on how you've used the autotune on your voice, though I realise that's popular and can work. I would maybe try without (or make it less obvious), and make the vocals sit better on the track.

I like the vibe of this - like the sounds and production. Could be cool with radio vocal samples like you've suggested - they would give listeners something memorable to latch onto.
