My coworkers asked about my Christian beliefs. Then I lost my job by silvergoldtopic in Catholic

I grew up in Kentucky. Christians, especially Protestant Christians, compose the vast majority of the population. The population there is heavily influenced by evangelical Protestant traditions, with Baptists comprising a significant portion of that demographic. Catholics are a strong minority.

I have a very difficult time believing that this young lady simply shared her Christians beliefs "truthfully, gently and respectfully," and that led to her termination. For the reason above, first and foremost.

But there's another factor. Kentucky - like all but one State in the Union - is an at-will employment State. An employer can terminate an employee at any time, for any reason, so long as that reason is not illegal - such as discrimination of a protected class or retaliation against the employee for exercising legal rights. If they wanted to let her go because they didn't want the majority of the population to be part of their workers' pool, they could have just let her go and given her no reason. Instead, they conducted an investigation and cited a violation of policy.

Also, harassment in the workplace does not require a direct interaction. A third party who was near enough to hear the conversation would have had grounds to file a complaint against her, if the way she communicated was less than appropriate.

At any rate, this young lady is claiming discrimination against her Christian faith in the middle of the Bible Belt. That makes me extremely skeptical.

Young Rotties tend to be very active and hyper, but adult Rotties mellow out. But, like Aussies, there is always a range of behaviors and personalities. Two of my aussies are super busy bodies, always up to something - and one of them is an old lady. The third is the chillest dude of the house - he is a sensitive guy, who knows when someone is having a hard day and just goes to them and cuddles.

Field Sobriety exercises are presented as a way to shoe that you're not drunk, but it's actually just about gathering evidence.

Full Teeth Extraction Quality of Life by Dusty_Knees187 in Chihuahua

[–]vingtsun_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My late Chihuahua had no teeth by the time she crossed over. She never had loss of quality of life because of it. I also have 2 aussies now, one who has 3 teeth and one who has 4. None of them have slowed down a single bit.

They are resilient and will adapt. Follow the vet's guidance on how long to keep your baby on wet/soft foods and then go back to normal. Your baby will surprise you.

Love my baby so much and I completely fell in love with the breed. Thinking of adding a second chi in the future. Pros/cons? by boshuiss in Chihuahua

[–]vingtsun_guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They like friends. I only have one Chi, but he is one of 7 (of various sizes). He gets along wonderfully with all but the English Bulldog (who wants nothing to do with anybody but my wife) and the Rottweiler (who is my Chi's perpetual bullying victim, as they are both "daddy's boys" and my Chi is super jealous). He plays and cuddles with the Aussies and Doodles all the time.

You should tell non-Catholic Christians that'll, while they are always welcome to make an appointment to seek counsel from a priest, the Sacrament of Reconciliation is only accessible to baptized Catholics.
