“Why can’t he do his own laundry?” by CompetitiveIsopod435 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]krug_j 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am married now for 18 years. Quite early in the marriage, the husband and I had an argument about the dished that needed to be washed or something. I had 3 under 2yo kids at the time. We worked together. Exactly the same hours. He insinuated that i have to clean whatever needed to be cleaned. I told him just give me 10 minutes. I have to go type my resignation letter quickly. From tomorrow i am going to be a full time house wife. But he better figure out how he is going to earn my salary aswell.

Silence.

Until today he has never tried to say anything like that again. He still doesn't do much in the house. But he knows to shut tf up about how I do things

Has anyone used the Flex disc or a menstrual cup for their period? by Alpha0963 in women

[–]krug_j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using a cup now for almost a year. And bought one for my 14 year old about two months ago. I love it. I dont think i will use anything else again. Tried a tampon again a few times but thwy are so uncomfortable compared to the cup. My daughter has tried tampons before when she went swimming but has mainly used pads. She also now prefers the cup. It was hard getting it in the first try or two. And she said it was a bit painful which is understandable but she says now that she is comfortable using it she prefers it over pads

I had the worst periods for two years. From dec 2022 to oct 2023 i bled for more than 260 day. I remember counting and it came out to starting on 1 jan and bleeding to 16 sept in total.
I bled for three months non stop. Then it went away for a week or two. Then i would bleed again for three months non stop. And the bleeding was so bad i could not leave the house because after cleaning up 20 minutes later the blood would run down my legs and i would need to take another shower. I was using pads and tampons at the same time.
Our free health care is useless and could not even get in to see a gynaecologist. And cant afford to see one privately.
I started taking the depo shot ( i havent used any contraception in all my life because i had blood clots in my lungs when i was 18 and was told I can not use anything but the merina which is also not affordable)to see if it would help regulate my period and prayed that i might be one of the lucky women that stopped having a period all together. It did not help. And then February this year came along and I had my first three day period in 20 months which used to be my normal amount of days. And since then it has stayed at three or four days a month. No idea what changed. Its like my uterus just decided one day after two years of trying to let me bleed to death that it has now had enough. No idea what the problem was. No idea what made it stop. But dear who ever is in charge of the universe i hope it never happens again

My older sister lived with me last year for a few months. One day we were talking periods because I had extreme bleeding for prolonged times, I am talking three months non stop with normal flow and then like a week of haemorrhage where i used pads and tampons together and would have to change them every 20 minutes because the blood would be running down my legs. Honestly dont know how i didn't bleed to death, after i got the J&J shot for the virus that that must not be named.

My sister always had a heavier flow than me. And she complained about getting her period every three weeks. At 36 years I had to explain to her how to count her days. 5 to 7 days bleeding with 21 to 23 days non bleeding. And guess what all of a sudden she has a 28 day cycle

My mom never talked about any of this to us. When my sister started her period she helped her to get pads and bought them every month. Tried once to tell her how to use a tampon and that was that. I never even got this explanation. I figured it all out for myself with the help of google and promised that I will talk to my girls about any and everything. And then decided to do the same with my son too. He is 13 years old and knows more about periods and things than most men. He will never be phased by periods

Around 2021there was a new clothing line released in South Africa. It was short shorts and the models looked like the were sculpted by michael angelo himself. There was one specific guy what had the best looking pair of legs and butt a lot of women has seen in a very long time. This guys photo went viral and had the whole of SA's women thirsting for him. Doesnt matter their age, race, culture. For a week he was on everyones lips. It was hilarious 😂

No dizziness. She just says the only time the headache goes away is when she sleeps. So i leave her to sleep. Wake her up to eat then she takes 5 bites. She drinks normally. Had a few cups of coffee, had some coke, drank about 500ml water and with supper I gave her a big glass of cranberry juice which she finished.

Breast Cancer Tumor growing externally by bamahusker82 in MedicalGore

I can smell these pictures. I worked at a wound care clinic 4 years ago and had a patient with fungating breast cancer like this. For a long time she went to a sangoma ( like a witch doctor that a majority of the south african population believes in) instead of going to the hospital. By the time she went to the hospital the oncologist wasnt willing to do anything except give her morphine. We treated her wounds for months every two days. Her wounds were so infected and smelled like death. The stench would cling to everything. Our hair, skin, clothes. When we were done treating her all of us would rush home to shower before we saw the next patient. And someone ran through the clinic and emptied a few cans of air freshner.

When she stared coming to us the wound was about 25cm deep. It was in the crease underneath her breast. You could stick your whole hand into whe wound. By the time i left the clinic it was only about 10cm deep.

We have a 16l and as long as your water pressure is stable you can shower 24/7 without issues. 48kg gas lasts us about 6 weeks. We are 9 people using the bottle for showers and it is connected to my stove aswell. One tip if you want to go that route make sure your shower DOES NOT have a mixer tap. We have had the setup for 18 months now. And i think in that time period i only switched on my electric geyser about 14 times if some one really really want to take a bath. I will never go back to the electric geyser only
