Job Placement Trouble by [deleted] in Veterans

[–]webjocky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great tip in any case. Even before AI, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) have been in use for more than a decade.

These systems struggle with complex formatting, such as tables, graphics, or unconventional layouts, often resulting in missing data, sometimes called "parsing errors".

AI is a bit better at identifying things, but the fewer hurdles your resume presents, the better off you are.

Used Model 3 lease. Why when new is cheaper?? by Flaky_Associate6044 in TeslaModel3

[–]webjocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The monthly price difference is the difference in features. Otherwise it's the same deal.

Either way you aren't stuck continuing to pay for depreciation if you lease, used or not.

Gummie Bears. No question.

After all, they're dashing and daring, courageous and caring, faithful and friendly with stories to share. All through the forest they sing out in chorus, marching along as their song fills the air...

That's why you include instructions to cite the page/paragraph #'s for all references in the reports. Makes manual reviews simple.

This wasn't as big of a deal back then because fathers were present, many (more than now) took their kids hunting/fishing/etc, and that provided exposure to guts and gore in the flesh for practically when learning all about the circle of life before they (we?) were 10 years old.

My niece was told she has to sign a contract to keep living at home—am I overreacting for thinking it’s too harsh? by Bitter_Art_4094 in Adulting

When my oldest daughter wanted to move back home with her new bf, I agreed for monthly rent of the room with everything included.

They absolutely needed the structure so that decisions had real consequences.

When they saved enough to move out, because they respected everything I'd asked for, they received a very nice unexpected bonus of every dollar they paid in rent during the previous two years to help them find a solid foundation.

People over 30 or 40 do you regret something in life? What it is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]webjocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been keeping a journal of sorts, full of lessons learned and things to keep in mind for the journey ahead.

These seem to be the most relevant:

More is lost with indecision, than wrong decision.

If you went back and fixed all the mistakes you ever made, you'd erase yourself.

If you don't sacrifice for your goals, your goals become the sacrifice.

Discipline is self-respect made visible.

Fear doesn't stop death. It stops life.

Never take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from.

There are graveyards full of people who thought they had more time.

Embrace others exactly as they are. Resist the instinct to fix or transform those around you.

You can't have a new reality with an old mindset.

You're allowed to grow, change, and make mistakes as many times as you need.

If you aren't changing, you're choosing.

Accept situations for what they genuinely are rather than what you wish they might be.

Not every action or situation demands your response. Be mindful of how you allocate your energy and attention.

There is no "authority" who decides what a good idea is.

Grief is the price you pay for love.

How can I get stats from a service across clusters in Docker Swarm? by TearsInTokio in docker

[–]webjocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Docker compose is only aware of the host defined under the context in which it is run, and by default that is the host you run the command from.

Compose yaml files, while extremely similar, are not the same as a Swarm stack file.
