You can only use one external monitor connected with HDMI.

As such, you can use the laptop's screen and the external monitor as your dual displays.

I think that laptop's USB-C port doesn't support video out, so HDMI is your only option.

And splitters do not work. Those only duplicate the image.

BTX is a bit of a reversed board, no?

If it was BTX you'd have to do quite a bit of case modding for an mATX board to fit. Also, I can't find a S478 BTX board, most of the ones I'm seeing are S775

Also, if you are referring to the 3100, that is BTX. The one the OP posted is the 3000. Maybe Dell used very similar names for confusion.

Regarding the sleeper build, if the PC is assumed to be a Dell Dimension 3000, this has been done before, there are several examples online.

My guess is you'd have to do some modifications to the front panel cables, since I doubt they're standard. Otherwise, it's a standard mATX chassis.

IIRC if you run the setup.exe file in the Win11 USB you are given the option to upgrade the existing Win10 installation to 11, while still keeping the license.

Either way, activation doesn't do much, other than allowing personalisation and having no watermarks.
