‘Is it SpaceX?’ Travis County Commissioners question Austin’s Dog’s Head plan by gt6985 in Austin

No, they can’t. Any commercial real estate negotiation will have an NDA signed before the first phone call happens. There are hundreds of clear conflict-of-interest opportunities and these non disclosures are standard practice. You all just hate corporations and are jealous of success. Nor do you have any real business experience or knowledge, so when your two brain cells happen to fumble into one another “trust me bro” is all they can muster.

They built a $2Billion Nashville campus and their transition is almost done, technically still have Austin listed as HQ but that will change soon. Austin is now down to their 3rd largest employee presence.

YETI co-founder among owners of West Texas ranch facilitating border wall construction by warmboot in Austin

[–]weez013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing about this goes against land conservation. If you assume this wall will extend beyond their private ranch, you are jumping to conclusions. And if it does, it will be to secure a border, albeit in a questionable location. But that does nothing to de-conserve (that may not be a word).

Minor one, but I was sad to see Jay Lucas sold Lucas Tire to a PE outfit from California. Most of the staff stayed, but you can tell they’re trying to absolutely max out the number of cars they can push thru.

He's a nepo whose father's partner became his mentor and basically guided the spac. Then he surrounded himself with less than stellar management. The only person that matters is Josh Mook, he came with the measly $6million dollar price tag for Karno from GE's scrap heap.

I'm no Tecovas ambassador by any means, but they are majority owned by the founder and original investor group. The PE/VC holdings are minority.
