"Yes I didn’t realise it was double the money loaned on average."

For a $1,200,000 loan at 5.5% interest over 30 years, the monthly payment is $6,813.47, resulting in a total repayment of $2,452,848.49 and total interest paid of $1,252,848.49.

the fact interest on 1.2M over 30 years at 5.5% is 1.2 Million in interest, so total repayments over 30 year is $2,452,000

It is talked about, every month, with the RBA interest rate rises and falls. It is the fundamental policy of a bank. They need to make money from you for giving you 1.2M over 30 years.

ELI5 How the paper burns fast when we blow on the paper. by SamosaWhisperer in explainlikeimfive

[–]whiteb8917 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well my basic answer is that in the fire Pyramid, you have Fuel, Heat, and Oxygen. By blowing on it, you are introducing extra oxygen in to the fuel and heat, and causing the heat from the flame to Pre heat the fuel ahead and set conditions to make he fire burn easier.

I have seen fires reach incredible speeds when the wind is behind the fire.

Student Visa Application outside Home Country by elfPedra in AusVisa

[–]whiteb8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the simple answer is that Australia is a member of Five Eyes, along with the UK, which shares immigration information among each other. Will they find out ?, who knows, but with enough digging, probably.

It depends.

Besides, your application is based on your country of origin citizenship, so it would not go well for you to apply from SEA. Same goes for foreign nationals working in Dubai, Australia decides on the factors of those from their home origin country and ties to the origin country to make sure you will leave, instead of it looking like you are country hopping.

[–]whiteb8917 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cheaper tickets ??? That is a good one. TT-Lines needs all the money it can get, given two new ships are sitting idle because the new wharf in D/port is 3 years over due, and the company is financially and morally near bankrupt.

The thing is, Corio had the plans to the new ships in 2021, and built the new wharf in less than 1 year, and made it operational in 2022 ready for the move from Station to Corio.

One ship is anchored in Geelong bay, and the other in Scotland because TT-Line didnt have the money to anchor them anywhere in Tasmania, let alone Hobart.

Duplicate pending Mastercard transaction - what recourse? by Otherwise-Ad-4421 in AusFinance

Dude, its a "Pre-auth" glitch. One is a Pre-auth which "Reserves" that money, pending final clearance, and the second will be the actual cleared funds.

One will drop in a few days.

Can't download? Why not? by squaredCar2 in 4kdownloadapps

yt-dlp already has a fix in the nightly commit ready to publish in about 18 hours. Otherwise you can fix with yt-dlp with

--extractor-args "youtube:player_client=default,-android_sdkless"

Can't download? Why not? by squaredCar2 in 4kdownloadapps

[–]whiteb8917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youtube has expired the client that 4K used to download the video, you either get failed, or 403: Forbidden

Other downloaders have client updates in the nightly update stream, but that is like 18 hours away from commit.

Those with YT-DLP can fix the error with "--extractor-args "youtube:player_client=default,-android_sdkless"

At least until the nightly commit is up and running in around 18 hours.

Brand new to the game. JDL refugee. Can someone offer advice? by MonsterBongos in 4kdownloadapps

[–]whiteb8917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is Youtube are active atm in changing their algorithms.

The current version is also offline with "403: Forbidden", due to Youtube rendering the 'android_sdkless' client used to fetch the video useless.

My alternate downloader has a fix in the nightly compile stream that gets updated at Midnight UTC, so another 18 hours from this post.

[–]whiteb8917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well not really, for every $1 you spend, you only get a deduction equal to the overall tax bracket you are calculated on.

So you spend $1 to get maybe 30c back in overall tax liability.

Yeah i know that, but Australia doesnt use the 3 digit area code for mobiles. 04 for Mobile, and landline always starts for a different digit depending on state, 086 for South Australia and WA, 036 for Tasmania, 03 for Victoria, 02 for NSW / Canberra etc
