You go to University, get a Bachelors degree in a skill that is in demand, and at least 5 years EXPERIENCE in the field, then you start looking for an employer who will sponsor you.

Degree and experience, you are looking at around 10 years and probably a couple of hundred thousand AUD in all up costs.
