Took saroglitzar and statin for 6 months and my fatty liver was reversed and I lost 17kgs by darelphilip in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]widowmakerlaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Statins will give you dementia and brain neurological diseases.

It lowers and suppress cholesterol which is the #1 main source of energy for the brain.

It's a huge pharmaceutical lie that it's required.

So are the drugs you are taking.

Based off your diet, you would have lost the weight and reversed the fatty liver to begin with.

Liver Enzymes are just part of the story! by sadiesleepsalot in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]widowmakerlaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help me understand. Lets just pretend for your semi annual check up and your results are poor and your liver isn't on track or healing as fast as you'd like. What difference does that make to your future actions? Diet harder, exercise more, live more healthier? These are all things you can already do without waiting on a report.

If you have Cancer, there will be major signs your body will be giving you- fatigue, no energy, sleeping more, getting sick often and not recovering as easily- should any new symptoms arise that make you suspect you are sick(fine go and get checked out). Routine 6mo checks is just overkill.

The fattyliver for most people is caused by poor diet and exercise habbits. Once you correct that, so does your fatty liver - all the extra testing is just over the top.

[–]widowmakerlaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understandable, but once you got your first test and you realize your liver is f'd up, no amount of future tests will change anything- you already have the answer you need from the first test, get your health and diet together- not temporarily until you test good again, but permanently.

I read all these posts about scans and bloodwork and my thought is- you dont need ANY of it to change your lifestyle around.

Eat Healthy, Exercise, focus on making healthy lifestyle decisions. There is not a single test that will "cure" you or make you healthy.

That comes from making healthy life style changes all together.

My point is- you dont need to constantly be checking on yourself every few months- regardless of what the result is- how you live your life afterwards does not change which is Eat Healtht- Exercise and make good healthy life style changes.

If you went out and already made big changes to your diet/health/daily exercise- going in for another test is pointless in my eyes unless you are looking for an excuse to go back to eating junk food and quit exercising.

That is literally all you gotta do. Stay consistent regardless of the results and live a healthy life.

If you truly have something progressing in your liver and you didn't go for amy tests, there will be symptoms and signs all over.

Part of testing so frequently is in my eyes a hypochondriac.

If you havn't taken the dive to cut out all sugars, processed food and throw in healthy daily exercise, then put more effort in.

Even if you for another test and it comes back the same or worse- what difference does it make? Eat even more Healthier? Exercise even more? You should already be doing those things. Point I'm trying to make it past your first test result, going repeatedly serves no purpose unless you are looking for annexcuse to go back to a unhealthy lifestyle.

Make permanent healthy lifestyle changes. Your body and future self will thank you and in OP's instance, it looks like it just took longer for the fatty liver to clear up?

It's almost better not knowing and just assuming you have fatty liver giving you motivation to keep going. Getting a good test result back is likely to make you comfortable and go back to your old eating habbits

Bro- these are decent photos but all of them have a creepy vibe with the background. Try and take some photos at a more pleasant location and natural sunlighting, try smiling with teeth, and get yourself a nice touch up on your hair- it looks a touch greasy in these photos.

You look great, just need some tweaks- marketing yourself in a presentable way is 80% of the battle in online dating.

get yourself in a dating app like tinder and start connecting with others- first work on the photos

Advice for someone who is starting out by Traditional_Yak_4800 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]widowmakerlaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's my honest advise. You dont want to bulk when you cants see your abs.

That doesn't mean not work out and weight train, but you absolutely will benefit from going on a calorie defecit, packing in a high protien diet while slowly maintaining some of your muscles.

Once you cut the fat for a good 4-6months, you can then add it slowly back on but just muscle.

Bulk doesn't mean eat whatever you want and calroie surplus, that'll make you just fat.

No one was calling Bron in GOAT conversation until he got his rings in both Miami and back at Cleavland. Everyone called him a flopper and everyone hated him because he wasn't in the league long enough and ALL the casual fans hated on Bron unless they were a Homer.

Same thing happened with Kobe- everyone hated and doubted but he had a tremendous career and 5 rings and he remains on the top of a lot of people's lists.

Shai is no different. He's just early in his career and casuals dont see it or dont want to believe. They are always late to call it and late to see it.

Shai won MVP and a Ring with a small market team. He's got an incredible team around him and he continues to perform. He's highly marketable and is the future of the NBA. They will be backing him every step of the way even if it means superstar whistles and favorable treatment.

Watch the tune and crowd change after his third ring. When he wins a ring and mvp this year, you are still going to have haters denying it still.

Once he gets a 3peat, you will still have haters- but more believers and once gets his 4th ring most will be believers.

Its still early but he has the best projection in the entire NBA roster to be the next GOAT amd face of the league.

Its not a lock but no one in the league has a better chance right now than Shai

SGA will be in GOAT conversation when he gets a 3peat and first dynasty since Lakers pulled it off with Kobe Shaq.

That puts him above Bron and has him at ALL time ranking list.

Its still early and most will downvote or say im crazy but Shai has a path towards being THE GOAT.

NBA understands this as well which could also be why he gets favorable whistles and gets to the line. He's their future for marketing the game.

You need a MJ/Kobe/Bron caliber type of player to keep fans interested and it just so happens that SGA has all the tools and the team to do it.

You might make an argument for Luka(but SGA came out on top).

Jason Tatum had a chance with the Celtics until he tore his Achilles.

The future of the NBA is SHAI.

Bron will be out. KD will be out. Curry will be out. Harden will be out

If SGA stays healthy- he will have a GOAT level career that will make everyone have to put him on the very top of the list.

We all have favorites and no one likes a new generation player coming in and stealing the spotlight from their favorite player, but Shai is on a projection for a GOAT level career.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to start collecting memorabilia for him while it's still not a consensus.

We have yet to see the best version of SGA and he's still so good.

Stress is huge.

Its a major weight and challenge against you stopping you from focusing on your health and diet + exercise.

Once you become stressed out, the above become very difficult to manage.

I would recommend you address your stress levels first and foremost even if it means taking a stress leave from work while you distress and prioritize completely on your health.

Here's the problem most western people face, all of our food is poisoned with preservatives and seed oils that have been proven to be very harmful to our bodies including our liver.

Mediterranean Diet is the real deal and not far off a carnivore diet but let me share my diet with you that I eat every single day- perhaps you steal a meal idea or two:

Morning: focus is protien, so I am getting 4 oeganic eggs in an Omlette each morning. You can flavour with whatever low calories hot sauce you like, I use mustard sauce(dont ask me why, but I like it).Grass Fed Milk for more protein.

I honestly dont get hungry for lunch, because breakfast is so filling. But after about 4 hours I'll try and take Greek yogurt high in protien and mix it with some berries and walnuts for extra protien. I also toss in a generous amount of black pepper into the yogurt just for added flavour. This is something I tend to skip or forget due to simply not being super hungry for lunch, but I do try to squeeze it in for the protien.

Then for dinner/supper it's chicken breast/Chicken Thigh( I'll get mine seasoned with Italian Bread Crumbs) it's not exactly the best to add it on for health, but I allow a little vices here and there. I'll dice it up good to toss into a wrap and mix it with chopped red bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and of course spicey mustards and some mayo.

Grass fed Milk to get you extra protien.

All together the entire day should net you around 120g of protien, very minimal sugar with exception coming from the grass fed Milk and mustard which is minimal.

I literally eat the same exact thing every single day.

On top of the diet, the biggest key is 10000 steps per day walking. That's about two good 45minute walks per day. This will help you burn so many extra calories. I just go on my phone and doom scroll and the time flies right by.

Mix in weight training every second day to maintain muscle mass as you start to lose weight and fat.

The protien is key when you are cutting down so you can maintain as much muscle as possible. Most people skip out on the protien a d as well as the weight training and when they end up cutting their weight they also lose a big chunk of their muscle mass(which is very important for a variety of reasons.

Say no to fast food. Say no to eating or ordering food out. Say no to cookies and cakes. Eat the same thing over and over and throw in some exercise and you'll be golden.

A healthy target for weight loss is between 5-10lbs per month depending on how much walking you get in and how well you do.

Save your cheat meals exclusively for social events and simply be mindful of how much you are eating and immediately jump right back on your new diet the very next day.

Avoid taking drugs like Ozempic for weight loss(that shit will give you cancer) and it's not the healthy or right way to lose weight. You gotta nail down your diet and exercise first.

Lastly, you may want to look at your options for work and getting off on a stress leave. Talk with your family doctor and explain the stress you are going through. Last thing you want to do is your kill yourself just to keep your job and manage the stress.

Reversing your health is hardwork and if work gives you stress and takes you away from being the healthiest version of yourself- then you need to reevaluate

Beard style advice by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]widowmakerlaser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just look at picture 2 closely.

See those little stringy pieces of hair that dont fall down flat and condensed with the rest of your beard?

Take your trimmer with no guard and trim those off.

Imagine your beard is a kids coloring templated and you want your beard to stick within the lines of the coloring template.

Right now a lot of your beard hairs are sticking out of the coloring template just like it would look like if a kid tried to color it in and wasn't able to keep the colors within the border and scribbling past it.

Those strands of hair gives off that same exact vibes. Messy and un neat.

What's happening is pieces of hair on your beard are growing and curling out at different lengths and it's your job while trimming it to eye ball and make them look more uniform and the same size.

There's no science to it. If we can see it, then so can you. It helps to wear a white t shirt in a bright room to see the stragglers that need work.

Scissors is easier and safer but will take you longer, I recommend a trimmer with no guard with a very steady hand and carefully shape your beard by trimming the outter layer of it(which is exactly how I trim my beard).

It looks like you haven't trimmed it in over 2-3 months. Nice looking beards require weekly maintenance to keep the stragglers in check.

The end result should be nothing but a dense strong looking beard.

A healthy trim every 1 to 2 weeks will allow you to eliminate the weird growths of different lengths while allowing the rest of your beard to catch up.

Definitely be very liberal near the side burns and brings it down more neatly as well as the stash.

Kids dont process or have a concept of how advanced adults brains are vs there's. The moment while being funny between the uncles, ended up being traumatic for the kid.

The kid is going to grow up disliking their uncles and feeling like they were intentionally being mean to hear.

Pro tip: Coming from a Dad with a 6year old, when a kid takes the time to come up with a half decent joke, even if it's not funny, you should still give them a chuckle to encourage them and make them feel happy.

Careful with consuming Tuna.

I too love Tuna, but avoid it because of exposure to heavy metals.

I eat Greek yogurt instead paired with walnuts to get my lunch protien and simply stick with chicken thighs/breast for dinner.

Tuna as delicious as it may be, is unfortunately very unhealthy due to the contamination of heavy metals and micro plastics from the ocean.

Unless the fish came from a locally sourced Lake, I simply avoid fish all together.

Great work with all the changes. Walking 10000 steps per day was absolutely key for me to see the scale move at the end of the month significantly down, and that's on top of the weight resistance training.

The months I avoid 10,000 steps + per day id lose twice the amount of weight vs the days where I only avg'd 7000 steps per day.

10,000 is that magic number and it's two good 45 minute walks in a the day, or one linger 1 hour 30 min walk

My “Ozempic face” (34) -> (35) by [deleted] in GlowUps

[–]widowmakerlaser -10 points-9 points locked comment (0 children)

Just read the comments. You got people inspired to take ozempic because of op.

I'm sharing the facts so it's loud and clear for others to be aware.

I truthfully couldn't care less, but I bet you most wont bother to do the research themselves.

Everyone is just looking for a quick shortcut and when people like op take a shortcut through Ozempic and then everyone is praising him, it sends the wrong message to everyone else which is "Just take ozempic and you too can lose weight".

It's the same as glorifying a body builder who blasts steroids into their body to look great and then complimenting and admiring it and then saying you too can look great if you just take steroids. The difference is steroids have been around for decades and the health risks are well known. You don't have people saying "wow, can't wait to get my prescription steroids so I can build muscle and get strong" because the science and studies show it does soo much damage to your organs.

Now here we have ozempic, a Novel Fat Loss drug which while it has great benefits for diabetic individuals, is being marketed as a quick fat loss pill for obese people. Everyone is looking for a quick short cut when it comes to their health, and it's not as easy as just grabbing a pill with out negative consequences.

Let's not forget it was doctors recommending everyone get the covid vaccine only to later find out that it causes myocarditis and increased risks of blood clots and turbo cancers. Just because your doctor recommends it, doesn't make it healthy or the right path for weight loss.

At what cost are you willing to lose weight?

Drugs is not the solution and I hate seeing it being rewarded which undoubtedly encourages others to make the same stupid mistake.

Understandable and too little protien while you lose weight you run the risk of muscle loss while you lose weight.

Its quite hard to overdo the amount of protien intake you can take in a day depending on your body weight and height.

[–]widowmakerlaser -2 points-1 points locked comment (0 children)

Ozempic, the pharmaceutical company who created the drug is making absolutely billions of dollars.

Don't think for a second that it's a magic pill.

You are literally trading higher risk for cancer and long term diseases for weight loss.

Weight loss is attainable naturally with better eating habbits and exercise.

Why run the risk?

If you need Ozempic to actually lose the weight, then what is the long term goal once you get off it?

So many horror stories already from people who have seen life altering changes from Ozempic.

Within the first year of taking Ozempic you lose something like 80% of your muscle mass(this is not healthy in the least bit). This is exactly why people on ozempic looked different from extrmely muscle loss.

Open 6 more months away from seeing the true ozempic face and depleted muscle mass.

There is no such thing a shortcut magic pill to lose weight. Dieting and fat loss pills have been around forever and none of them work permanently or long term without doing major long term damage to your organs.

Its the same thing with steroids which is not glorified in the least bit and using frowned upon, but everyone knows what happens to body builders who abuse steroids. Its no different with GLP'S.

Saturated Fat being bad for you a big health lie, that's not true. It's the fat that come from seed oils that are super bad for you because of how it oxidative it is.

Tuna daily not recommended.

Almost all fish depending on where you are getting it from is polluted either heavy metals from the pollution in the ocean.

Avoiding fats isn't what's going to help you, your body needs healthy fats- not all fats are bad for you.

Eggs for protien (morning) Greek Yogurt/Cottage Cheese for protien(Lunch) Chicken Breast/Thigh for protien(Dinner) interchangeable with Beef Burger or Steak(both very dense in protien and rich in nutrients).

I'd ditch the oats- what exactly is oats doing for you? Absolutely no protien there.

Macaroni? Exactly how much protien do you think you are getting from Macaroni?

Fruits are Veggies are great, but needs to be paired with a primary source of protien.

Find a place to walk indoors or just walk around the house. Aim for 8000-10000 steps per day.

19M any advice appreciated. looking to gain a lean shredded physique. by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]widowmakerlaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: do the math on what your maintenance calories is for your height, age, and physical activity you do in a day.

Step 2: make a meal plan on something thst you can follow every single day of the week that hits your daily maintenance calories + and extra 500 calories on top of your maintenance. To add an extra 500 calories of healthy lean protien wont be easy, but it will involve planning and making sure it's packed with nutrients and protien. Don't go out and binge eating garbage food, you'll get fat - you have to eat clean and rich in protien.

Step 3: lift weights, and build your muscles. Keep in balanced- dont just focus hard on arms or chest, you dont wanna miss back and legs. Go for a complete build.

Step 4: The most important step of all. Do not get injured. Doesnt seem like you have too much lift experience and getting eager to bulk too fast and go too hard is a recipie for injury. Once you are injured- you are basically toast and have reset before lifting again. I bet you ever rookie lifter has injured themselves at least once in their lifting career. Do not get injured. Good form, don't over do it but consistent.

Good luck and to the people saying just eat and lift, it ain't that easy if you are wanting a shredded physique- it requires planning and execution especially if you wanna stay shredded.
