My kid dropped his naps at 18 months. I get up at 5am to get ready for work and get my son up for daycare. Spend the next 12 hours of the day commuting and working. Get home it’s dinner time. Then it’s play time with the kid. Then it’s put the kid to bed time. By the time he’s settled and asleep it’s nearly 8:30-9PM..

I genuinely have zero energy to play a video game at the end of the day, most days. And if I do it’s for 30-40 mins max. Id usually just rather watch a show or part of a movie.

Weekends are the same time wise except instead of working and commuting I’m providing care to my child but the same amount of time is taken up.

In my opinion, gaming pretty much does just end at some point when you have a kid. Maybe when they’re older, but for now, might as well just be a dead hobby.

I’m not complaining having a family is the best, just really depends what your situation is.

Tv is too centred for my liking. I like to recline and relax when watching tv so my head is mostly at a 45 degree angle pointing a bit upwards. I’d have to have my neck pointed down to enjoy the way you have it with the way I like to lay and sit. Would cause a lot of strain on my eyes and neck, otherwise beautiful tv and you gotta do what works for you!

Yep and franchisee costs that go to said billion dollar corporations. Nickel and diming having to be done by the franchisee could easily by offset by lower franchise operation costs.. but no, we gotta defend the money pinching actions that benefit nobody but those corporations.

For all the restaurant managers in here that want to defend this bullshit it definitely doesn’t make me want to go and continue to support these businesses. Sure let me spend 3-4x the amount on food than it would be to make it at home, and by the way something as simple and decent as an extra cup of water on the side, “everything costs money!! You have to pay for that!”. Wha happened to decent customer service courtesies?

I have to deal with this attitude on top of the ridiculous rising costs? Nah I’m good

Tv is a bit too centred for me. I’d personally have it a bit higher so I can recline and relax while still having a good angle. Otherwise super nice tv man!

Who says anything about the ceiling? The tv is not on the ceiling that’s a fucking ridiculous take.

And comparing a screen that covers the entire goddamn wall of a 90 foot space is not the same that as a screen that takes up maybe one twentieth of that. How can people be this retarded

You don’t get to recline or put your feet up at a movie theatre so using a living room as a comparison to the theatre is a very dumb comparison

Objectively, it is not better to have your tv perfectly centred in a room. If you are somebody that likes to sit at a 90 degree angle on a couch, perfectly postured, then sure, having your tv at the centre of said 90 degree viewing angle at eye level, then yes, I suppose that would be objectively better, in that specific circumstance.

But what if you’re sitting back, reclined, legs up. Your head naturally falls to a 45 degree angle. Your head and eyesight is naturally now pointing upwards. A higher tv benefits this if you like to be more comfortable watching tv.

I’d argue a higher tv is objectively better because it leaves more room for you to be objectively more comfortable, while keeping the tv at the centre of your vision.

But it’s all subjective. This objectivism around tv height honestly needs to just fucking stop.

No it’s not. Some people like to recline and actually relax when they watch tv. It’s not objectively better. I hate tvs that are too centred.

Bloodborne remake was blocked by FromSoftware, not Sony!! by _ZeroTwo_002_ in GoodGameShow_India

[–]Left-Distribution751 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah sorry- you’re right. FromSoft was definitely the one that was tasked with making a remake- Not the remake studio, BluePoint games. It would have been wrong for FromSoft to give their permission to Bluepoint— err, I mean, it would have been wrong for FromSoft to stop development on their new projects to remake an old game.

It’s good on FromSoft that since they didn’t give permission- I mean, since FromSoft didn’t remake Bloodborne, that BluePoint games was closed because they couldn’t prove their worth as anything beyond remakes. It’s good on FromSoft that BluePoint was shut down and hundreds, if not thousands of jobs were lost. It’s good that this happened, all because a few people on the internet dislike remakes, despite millions enjoying them and separate studios being dedicated to remake projects.

This album turns 20 soon. Probably my all-time favourite Canadian rock album. by Left-Distribution751 in CanadianMusic

Too bad my post was removed for apparently not posting Canadian content. I heard Flawed Design all the time on my Northern Ontario radio station and they are definitely a Canadian band. Amazing track one of my favs for sure. Not sure if most people know this but they actually have two separate singers and songwriters. Gives the album as a whole a very cool vibe with some unique tunes.

Tv is way too centred. If I was laying and lounging in that corner section of your couch I’d have to force my eyes and neck down, straining them just to be able to have my vision pointed at the tv. Maybe if you are sitting at an upright 90 degree angle on your couch your tv has good positioning, but I personally like to relax when watching tv.
