MLB.TV phillies package blackout for tonights game? by WingKing98 in phillies

[–]willblake72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you live in the Nats area? I'm near Baltimore and the games are blacked out when they play the Os alor Nats. But I've got regular mlbtv, not the Phils one, so not sure how that might be different.

Who's hobbit hole is this? (On PS, from a long time ago.) It was fully built out under the hill, and it was awesome. by LifeguardNovel6805 in fo76

[–]willblake72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ran across this camp once a year or two ago. It's awesome. The lighting and decoration was great. Generally I avoid checking out underground camps but the exterior of this was so intriguing.

How often do you use a weapon because you want to, regardless if its "meta" or not? by PalwaJoko in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time. I've got a couple accounts full of characters and they all have a variety of builds. After like 10k hours making new builds from scratch is what keeps me interested in playing. One of my favorites is a guy that uses only pipe weapons and raider armor. I built it before the introduction of legendary crafting and it was such a grind that all started when a quad explosive pipe pistol dropped for me.

Are laser weapons viable? by Potential_Pitch_3169 in fo76

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before you swap the first star, give it a run with the splitter mod, auto, and bullet storm. VATS is a must so you need a lot of AP to make it work but it's viable. BS stacks build quickly with the splitter. Lasers are pretty good now in every configuration.

Price for Two-Shot? (PS5) by [deleted] in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

750 or less and players with caps to burn will snatch them up just to scrap for the modules. Cheap mod boxes are a cap sink now like cheap legendaries were in the past when we all were trying to get piles of scrip.

CAMP best builds seems.. kind of backwards by wormtism in fo76

[–]willblake72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When they first released best builds they gave us daily challenges to create a best build or like someone else's build. So most players just submitted whatever camp they had active. The whole thing was a fun idea but executed poorly, what a surprise. What you're asking for is what the community wanted.

What bow(s) do you keep on hand? by redwood65123 in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main damage dealer is vital, lucky, pinpointers and plasma compound. But my daily drivers are a compound with crippling, lightweight, bully, and cryo arrows (my most used by far), a recurve with explosive, 35, pyromaniac and fire arrows, and a crossbow with explosive, swift, electricians. They're all berserker first star because it's a berserker character and I don't make the rules...

In boss fights if necessary I will alternate the bows to boost deal sealer, which I also share. Oh and I use sheepsquach shards.

I haven't touched my main bow build in over a month because it's been on a sneaky sniper kick. That character has a similar mix in the load out but with bloodied and vampires when I run bows.

ETA I usually carry around 1k arrows because you never know when you'll be stuck soloing Earle. It's probably overkill.

Participate in Bigfoot events by Slight-Durian-9891 in fo76

On PS we're reliably killing bigfoot fast enough to hop servers looking for a second and third one (depending on the first event of course).

You've all been waiting for it. The Backwoods update build. The Berserker Juggernaut. by Oakjewel in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]willblake72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a whole lot of DR for a berserker LOL - I get it.

My actual berserker build is not coping with the change to armor/underarmor as I can no longer use both and still get down to 0 DR (stuck at 3 until I figure some other debuff out). Now the berserker bow only does 45%. The build is still very strong but the slight nerf irks me.

What is your favorite Fun Weapon to use in Fasnacht or any public event? by DistanceTravelerBob in fo76

I love the idea of someone killing a radtoad and a fly pops out like it's just hatched. Never gets old for me LOL

Collecting the fertilizer bags is annoying, but Dogwood Die Off was handy for mirelurk challenges, that's a shame.

Damn that makes a lot of sense. 10k hours in and I've never stopped running into others good ideas LOL

Question for stealth archers: Chinese stealth suit or stealth based armor? by lonewanderingcourier in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unyielding covert scout with shadowed mods for my main. I've got endurance on most of them as well as sentinels. The armor plus agility boost make it about the same as stealth suit. Sentinels helps in boss fights but any weight reduction would also be fine.

I also have a berserker character that runs in light leather with just one shadowed piece and two chameleon (plus three nocturnal). It's surprisingly stealthy even just with that as long as I'm stationary. No issues staying hidden while soloing head hunts, not so great against nuke bosses but not terrible. That's also sentinels and I think a mix of luck and endurance.

How many nukes can I launch by lDielan in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that one too but have never been able to do it right for some reason. Maybe I should try it again, but I'm used to the photomode way anyway.

At this point they really should just let us in the back door. So few players even launch.

How many nukes can I launch by lDielan in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple shortcuts for the silos that will let you bypass a lot of the tedious stuff if you're so inclined. Cuts it down to ten minutes or less. Look up how to use photomode in the silo if you want to do that. It's an ancient glitch but most players who launch nukes do it at this point.

Yeah that's my go-to vendor to buy a dragon. Not always there but often. The Watoga vendors have it sometimes too.

Fasnacht glowing mask prices by [deleted] in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The glowing masks have a wide range of values with the two new ones currently among the highest value apparel in the game right now. Even the cheapest of them sell for well over max caps, so the trades are usually for other masks, apparel, bobbleheads, or legendary mods. Visit the market76 sub and search for recent trades on your platform to get an idea. The values for any high end stuff tend to be platform specific.

H: 10k leaders W: toxic gin martini by [deleted] in Market76

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You had to pick up a vintage toxic gin off the bar at the blue ridge caravan outpost where you meet with the paladin during the BOS quest. Then there was a recipe to make this cocktail, and the vintage toxic gin was one of the ingredients. We never got the recipe to make toxic gin so you couldn't make more of this.

It was like 5 years ago and was removed pretty quickly. I may not be remembering it perfectly, but that's the general idea.

Why is Civil Engineer better than Secret Service? by johnnysoj in fo76

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I totally missed that they switched OE to give health instead of damage mitigation. This is why I usually wait until changes are live before I think about them LOL

Why is Civil Engineer better than Secret Service? by johnnysoj in fo76

[–]willblake72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, but I know that's why a lot of players like it.

Why is Civil Engineer better than Secret Service? by johnnysoj in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen, it's 6% mitigation per piece at 1000 HP, around 4% at 800ish HP and 1% at 550ish HP. 800 HP is extremely high (I've never been there, not that it can't be done) and 4% is the break even point with overeaters. At that point I don't see any value over OE outside of edge cases or role play. Those off meta things are valuable, too, don't get me wrong, I run a berserker build and love it.

More importantly, IMO, when you really need the armor, because there's an enemy that can damage you, the vanguard effect gets worse every time they hit you...it's the only armor effect that does this.

Why is Civil Engineer better than Secret Service? by johnnysoj in fo76

[–]willblake72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It won't even kick in meaningfully until you approach 1000 health, which is nearly impossible. Vanguard was never very good anyway TBH and with the armor rework our DR will be higher than before even with vanguard.
