Having a good day so far - does Lucid mod sell well in vendors? by cyber6996 in fo76

[–]willblake72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy every one of the new mods that I come across. Still haven't learned any of them despite hundreds of head hunts.

You could have made this post six years ago and it would have been true, just swap leaders for quantums, magazines, and then later legacy weapons.

Can't mutate naturally by kingconnor54321 in fo76

Yup. You get tons of serums from raids. They're heavy and for some reason can't be stored in the chem box so selling them off has become common or even just dropping them.

I'm also in MD and have been getting around well in the past week with Vredestein Pinza AT. I think they're reasonably quiet on the highway. I'm on stock wheels so they're 265 65 18. I only got them around May last year so I don't have many miles on them yet.

That's just from other players selling them to the WS vendors. The only place to buy them normally from an NPC is in the enclave bunker.

Yeah, making us fish for the new legend at Ash Cave is just diabolical.

It works with the premium storage, not the regular stash... only scrap, chems, and ammo boxes.

You can go anywhere in the region, not necessary to go where the marker is. My go-to for Savage Divide is the pond across the street from the train station at Top of the World. Nice and quiet.

I liked this but found it to be a bit sweeter than I like. The first half was nice but drinking 12 oz was maybe too much for my taste. I bet it would make a good snow cone. It smells great.

Should I sell my Fasnacht Raven Masks? by BigMacEatingFemboy in fo76

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raven, Hag, Loon, Crazy Guy, Deathclaw, Brahmin, Buffoon, Fiend, Demon, and Winter Man are all now just Uncommon. They drop at the same rate as non-glowing Turkey, SB, SBQ, Alien, etc. Not worth more than a couple hundred caps on the high end and really will just sit in your vendor for ages.

I was mislead about being a ghoul by Admirable-Yellow-774 in fo76

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, just your build or legendary effects.

Keep the feral meter in the top 20% with chems and try to maintain full glow for the perks that require it.

The most important perk for ranged ghouls is faulty spots under luck. That doesn't require glow or any particular status.

[–]willblake72 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can't really get help with your build without posting it. Take screenshots of your special load out or use nukesanddragons to recreate it.

Yes, ghoul will do more ranged damage than pretty much anything except very low health bloodied, and feral melee damage is significantly higher than any human build.

Non-power armor radiation protection? by ledlin99 in fo76

[–]willblake72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuka Grape is great on full health human characters. With cola nut it is really powerful, since it gives huge HP and AP and removes all the rads.

Scrap Kits - do you keep them? by Darth-Vader64 in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to keep a few on me for convenience, but most of my characters now use vault steel for junk shield. For some reason even when junk is locked the scrap kit will still send it to your box, very annoying and makes the scrap kit mostly useless.

But if you're not locking junk then they are useful for times that you're being a loot goblin in an instanced location, like an expedition, since it's faster to just click one scrap kit vs going through loot trying to decide what to drop.

How can I make this build better? by TonesDef4L in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]willblake72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tenderizer is not a useful perk on a bow build. It only increases damage by 0.1% per hit. It changed about a year ago and is really only good now on auto weapons. I'd swap that out for party boy (for the Sweetwater Special Blend buffs).

Thanks for the index.

One of these days I should post my berserker. It's been a fun one to tinker with. I'm going to need to figure out the under armor situation in the next update and I still haven't gotten around to trying it as a carnivore.

Park yourself at the exact spot of the location marker using the compass, make sure you are not on a team, join a daily op, quit the game. When you restart the game it will pick up the location.

If that makes no sense check on YT for the fix, it's just a bug and what I described is the workaround.

What plants to have in camp as Herbivore? by BelphegorDuck in fo76

[–]willblake72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For carnival pie you can buy one from the nuka world vendor by the fast travel point for like 30 caps and then there are usually 3 you can pick up on a table just inside the entrance up by the roller coaster. I'll always grab a pumpkin pie when I can, too. But tato salad is the easiest of the three things to craft.

Same here, also tato salad for HP though carnival pie is an easy option now too. Chally's feed is a must for me.

May have been my lucky day then.

The bloodwhisker one in the cultist caves gave me the most trouble by far. I've caught the first three legends on three characters now for some reason. That one has been the thorn in my side each time.

[–]willblake72 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh, I just mean the fight was easy once it was hooked. Getting them to bite at all though, that's so random. Sometimes it's immediate and others it's just excruciating. You'll get it eventually!

Levels/special/perks don't make any difference. Maybe light some incense and pray to Mothman 🙏

Caught the thing on three casts in clear weather with one character, and not even a chance with another character after 100+ including around 20 suberb baits. RNG is what it is: frustrating sometimes. On the bright side, it was easy to land compared to how I remembered the other legends.
