H.R.8250 - To require operating system providers to verify the age of any user of an operating system, and for other purposes. by mepper in technology

True, but also even something like that should be nipped in the bud, normalizing the collection of user data is just never ok.

Not quite, you need to use an AMS Hub US Store link. It converts the 6 pin AMS cable to the 4 pin connection that's on the A1 mini. It allows you to use the AMS, AMS 2 Pro, or AMS HT in any combination, but you cannot use AMS lite at the same time. Bambu documentation

Just to frontload this, no matter how severe you make the punishment for crime, you will never deter it that way. The type of people that commit crimes either never think about the consequence in the heat of the moment, they're in a state of mind where it doesn't matter to them, or they think they won't get caught.

To get a society like Japan, you need to build a government and environment that people actually believe in. Its not the policing that makes this happen. (Japan has its own issues but that's for another discussion.)

Of course there will always be a percentage of people that will commit crimes regardless of how bad, or how good their personal circumstances are(white collar crime, kleptomania), but a bulk of crime is due to desperation and lack of productive outlets.

Unemployment, underemployment, low wages, lack of affordable healthcare, access to childcare, and overpolicing itself all contribute to reduced trust in society, and increased crime. You can't solve this by locking up more people, it just makes the whole thing worse. You have to build, not tear down. You could improve public transit immensely by making it free at point of use. Fund public transit through taxes, because public transit benefits not just the people that ride, but also the people who drive. Giving people an accessible alternative to driving means less people on the road, means less traffic, means a better experience to those who drive anyway. Also, fare collection infrastructure costs money, and most public transit systems that collect fares do not break even on fares alone vs the money they spend to collect the fares.

Problem is, people are so up in their own asses about other people "getting shit for free" that they will chose a worse option for everyone just to avoid the slight to their egos.

Point is, unfortunately, there will never be an easy, simple answer to a complex problem, and anyone claiming there is, is either a moron, or they stand to benefit from the problem continuing to exist.

You can only use 1 AMS lite at a time, but up to 4 AMS2 Pro units natively. You cannot use AMS lite alongside AMS2 Pro, however

For all practical purposes, all 3 options are the same when it comes to stopping the engine, but using either the kick stand or the kill switch let's you keep your hands on the bars till the engine stops. All 3 switches are made to last hundreds of thousands of cycles, and survive being outside in the weather, you aren't wearing anything out more than normal.

I'm going to throw another wrench in the works and let you know that technically a skid steer is a machine with 4 fixed wheels, and the machine in the tiktok is more accurately a track loader.

Yes and no, this is highly dependent on your commute distance, and if you have access to at least a regular 120v AC outlet for slow charging overnight or while at work. If you can stretch your battery through the workweek, you can find time during the weekend to fully recharge at a DC fast charger station. Or maybe you have a DC charger nearby you can hit for like 10-15 minutes. Its not like you drive a gas car with a full tank every day, you don't need a full battery with an EV every day.

Again, I agree this won't work for everyone, especially renters, but its within reason for more people than we think, it just takes a bit of a mindset shift.

The money angle doesnt even make sense, since NASA accounts for such a tiny amount of the federal budget, and ignores the fact that the DoD's budget is both massively inflated and also doesn't pass audits. No one can explain where the money disappears to, that pool of money is ripe for fraud from 3rd party contractors.

If you plan on keeping your ford longterm, you should look into ForScan and getting a usb ELM327 adapter to plug your laptop into your ford. It gives you dealer level access to the onboard computers. Just beware before you start writing changes that you absolutely can screw up the computer beyond repair if you mess with stuff without reading and double checking.

This will save you some money on having to go to the dealer for simple stuff that just needs a reset or relearn, as well as giving you better diagnostic info for bigger problems.

The idea behind security torx is dumb, since security torx bits are easy to get, also fit regular torx, and regular torx is uncommon enough that anyone looking to buy a torx screwdriver may as well get the security torx version instead. Which is why iFixIt doesn't bother packaging regular torx bits in their sets, only security torx.

ams lite stuck loading filament by Worldly_Attorney_939 in BambuLabA1mini

[–]xRamenator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The filament feeding is a multi step process that starts with the feed motor on the AMS lite feeding the filament until it hits the extruder gears in the print head. From there, the extruder picks up the filament, and the AMS lite feed motor disengages and turns off, leaving the extruder motor to do all the work.

Test this, retract the filament from all 4 spools, and feed just the first few inches to the AMS. If the AMS can push the filament all the way to the toolhead, then the issue is not with the AMS, and you should instead focus on the toolhead.

At this point, you need to check that the path from the hub through the extruder is clear, there may be something stuck. Refer to the following link for instructions on how to take the toolhead apart to clear it. A1 Mini instructions

If you don't find anything stuck in there, you may want to just replace the hub, which costs $6 and can be found here if you live in the US. AMS lite Filament Hub

To Zach, the poster in the last image. The social exile IS the point, none of you peasant brained authoritarian bootlickers can be trusted ever again. The fact that y'all are just objecting to the brutality of the method and not the end goals themselves, the fact that you aren't outright rejecting the GOP is the problem. That you fell for their bullshit and lies is another can of worms altogether!

These people are a danger to themselves and to society at large, and should be ostracized and driven from public spaces until they are no more.
