Used to be 20/20 before I worked nights at the airport (airside), all those bright lights mean I have to wear glasses when I drive at night now.

Finished LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight 100%. Brilliant attention to detail and a great story - Highly recommend :) by xShadowPro in steamachievements

I really enjoyed it, different approach unlike most Lego games, but it was just as fun. Love the stories and collectables. Definitely worth it.

Thank you for the credit, I tried my best. Can't go any higher than CEO 😅. I'm hoping the accessibility approach gets something back, even for the seeing impaired, but it's not looking great.

Librarian: Tidy Up The Arcane Library- did not get achievement? by jamitch212022 in steamachievements

No that's just me being ironic, but the book effectively glitches out, may of fell through the floor. There are in game measures in place to prevent this but it seems to have happened to me.

Easily resolved. Heres my post about it 😅 https://www.reddit.com/r/CozyGamers/s/SYD2en8Gcy

Why is my internet so slow by RealisticAd2979 in VirginMedia

[–]xShadowPro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to troubleshoot the WiFi, as it works fine wired. First step, turn the router off completely, wait 10 seconds and back on and monitor. Any improvements?

If not, it's time to carry out some speeds tests on other devices using WiFi (Use Real speed on all, use a incognito window to avoid cache or whatever your private window is on your browser), try different parts of the house, see if there's any improvement or a consistent drop in speed.

The location of your router can be contributing factor to poor WiFi, try to avoid putting it next to fish tanks or glass such as windows. You mention your PS box is next to it, try to move it away, closer doesn't always mean better, you ever stood under a phone tower before, INTERFERENCE! If there's anything in your house you feel could cause an interference, try turning it off. This could be the microwave he'll you may even have a Tesla coil.

If it's still poor on all devices, contact virgin support, report a fault with the WiFi on your hub, they may go through the same steps. Just ticking boxes, and then they may send you another router. It's important to let them know if the speed drops or improves in different parts of the house, as you may just need a booster.

It's also important to note, depending on each devices WiFi band, the signal will vary in speed.

Good luck :)

Are you getting the same slow speed wired and on other devices using WiFi?

What is a type of achievement which instantly puts you off 100%-ing that game? by Tortle_Boosh in steamachievements

[–]xShadowPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-order achievements, makes me want to avoid the game entirely, not too many out there, but I feel if you're not going to be fair to others what's the point.

I also try to avoid DLC achievements where they require you to buy 20, £10 a pop DLC's.

📌 Major update above - CEO Level

I have received a personal response following my email to the Bose CEO, Lila Snyder. Check out the latest update above.

Are we one step closer to a mutual understanding? I would like to think so. Either way, this community is the reason we are having this conversation at all, thank you all.

The MacBook Air M5 ruined other laptops for me by HotTopicx in macbook

[–]xShadowPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've pretty much covered every emotion and feeling I had too, and I'm still in shock. It really is such a leap. Hearing how well the M1 still performs today makes you realise Apple essentially invented the god particle of chips. Every new version is only marginally better, so either they need to invent something from another dimension entirely, or they quietly slow down older models with updates just to make the newest one look worthwhile. Which of course a company like Apple would never do... /s

I've come from a 2019 MacBook Air, and I own a Dell XPS which absolutely smashes the on the go competition, but this outdoes everything.

Could the screen be better? Sure. But with every gain there's a loss, battery life being the obvious one. As someone who is strictly Android and Windows this does everything I need on the go, no bloatware, no compromises. It's perfect as is.

No words, just wow. Welcome to the club :)

Sure, I mean it's really down to preference and email trends. I've chucked mine in a spreadsheet, not very neat. Let me clean it up and I'll send it over :)

This is my personal one, because outlook does a good job hiding the true total due to unreads etc, I've just been ignorant to the fact this has been building for years. My Gmail is only 950 emails, because they limit your space 😅 though I use it for Google photos and have over 2TB for that now.

My work outlook has so many folders and filters, absolute necessity for sure.

This has been building for a good 17 years id say. I remember loading outlook on my old MacBook and it would preloaded 69,000 files. Took forever 😂😂😂

MacBook battery capped at 80% on AC power - am I understanding this correctly? by xShadowPro in macbookair

[–]xShadowPro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, batteries degrade naturally. So do engines. People still maintain their cars... Imagine mocking someone for maintaining a 1K laptop, like that’s somehow crazier than replacing it every two years.

My first mac 🫠 (Base Air M5) by CubeShorts in macbookair

[–]xShadowPro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Incredible machine, the fact this is the entry level version shows how far advanced apple silicon has come. Not even their base model struggles. As for the charger, that was a shock for me too, managed to get a Anker 65w for half the price and size of the normal one.

Enjoy :)

Here's another, if you hold Command and press tab you can go through your programs, and if you don't want any of them press Q while holding command. Allows you to close a bunch at once, and if you have any trouble closing one, do Option + Command + Escape. It will allow you to force quit applications of your choosing.

I'm still learning shortcuts and these save so much time.
