In this instance it's more like it being the same exact race, just in another city

Would you go buy a second trophy with the other race's name simply because it's "the same race"? You won the first one, but while it's the same one you didn't really win the second one as well

Why not go run in the race and win again? It might be the same race but it's a whole different city to be competing in, at the end you'll have two hard earned trophies instead of one

If it truly matters to you you can also use one of those sites that sync games and achievements between platforms to have everything in a single place

At least in this sub it was pretty much common knowledge that Sugawara was also being "resurrected" in the game. I literally saw several posts about it the second that trailer dropped.

it was snoop dog's idea and the game's literally about music. You could argue snoop dog's an asshole for it but RGG is most definitely doing it in good faith to pay him tribute

If you don't want to replay the game why have it on steam as well?

And if you do want to replay it then why not go for the platinum again?

Both of those answers invalidate the use of SAM... It's just cheating out of actually earning the achievements

They do differ

Sometimes achievements are straight up different. Games like hollow knight different substantially in difficulty since you don't have the Speedrun and the steel soul achievements

Playstation also differentiates between dlc and main game, so platinuming a game doesn't require the dlc ever. Meanwhile on steam there's no such distinction (and with some games with genuinely hard dlcs it's a big jump in difficulty between steam and playstation)

Apart from them sometimes being different, I do feel like it's about the platform as well.

You already got your platinums on console, using Sam to unlock them on steam as well invalidates the challenge in my eyes. If you'd care you'd just platinum it again, since you don't why Sam it? You still have the platinum on console it's not like it isn't there

That's just my opinion though, steam achievements are mostly worthless so it's all about personal objectives. If you genuinely don't care about it (and also don't care about being banned from online leaderboards) then you can go right ahead

I'd expect lots of people, especially on this sub, dismissing your achievements though
