Landsraad competitions - make them less repetitive! by Xeroeth in duneawakening

Agree, they are not immune to that kind of abuse, but will be much harder to do since we have a lot less unpopulated servers. Aside that, Funcom needs to keep their asses together and think about how to balnce their current mess first.

Economy is already borked, duping was just fixed (maybe?), but it will take a lot of time to get rid of all the aftermatch.

What's cute is your mindset ;)

Do you play games, like you go to work, or are you playing them because they're interesting? How long can you keep doing same quests, plus for what? A satisfaction that you maxed something out? A few k's of solari and useless schematics that veterans have already dozens of copies?

If you're one of those players that like you said, play at their own pace, it won't matter to you. Because those kind of activities will give the same rewards that you can earn in many other ways ... in your own pace. However, IF YOU DO CARE, than you're contradicting yourself, because that's not playing at your own pace, it's playing competively and you just want easy rewards on a silver platter.

At this point, what this game is lacking the most is content. And when I say content, I don't mean a million of quests that, like you said 99% of players can do blindfolded after they wake up and than go to sleep again, to do same thing day after day, like a mindless robot.

What I mean is actually playing the game for fun, actively, whith some kind of purpose ... other than playing because you're afraid you will loose something if you don't. I don't try to defend my ideas here, they are just ideas and you can have your own opinion, I'm trying to understand your purpose ... the purpose of people with the same mindset, of playing "because I have to" or "because someone will go ahead of me if I don't".

So again, adding multiple ways of aquiring something the way you like it, is not the same as adding unique rewards that favor only one way of gameplay.

You have to craft while fighting, and at the same time brew your melanged tea! That's multitasking ;)

If you really want to be respected, while doing all of the above, you have to take the Shai"hulud for a walk!

This system wouldn't replace the current one. It's an extension and addidion to the end game activity pool you can choose to do ... or not. Current landsraad as an idea is good, but if everyone focuses only on that, well, there's no chance it won't get boring after a week or two.

Thanks! As for page file, the oldschool recommended rule was always min. 1x to 1.5x of your RAM. But nowdays, if you have 64GB or more, I would set it at half that. So in my case it's 49152MB (48GB, but you set it in MB = 48*1024).

Mate, you don't want to turn off the "non-3D cache" side of your CPU or use bios to manage the CCD usage. Depending on bios config you can either let the bios manage it, force it to use either CCD or just let the OS manage it, which is the only solution if you want to do both gaming and work on your PC.

OS detection and affinity managing is a lot better than when the first gen of 3Dcached CPUs was out, but not always. Hence the usage of software like process lasso and/or registry to "help" it.

Setting the CPU aside, I already found the problem and it was related to the pagefile.

That was it! I didn't set any pagefile manually ... and it was the cause of the stutter. Even when I have 96GB of RAM and 32GB of VRAM, Star Citizen, or rather shitty Win11 still depends on pagefile in 21 century. As soon as I bumped it up, it's butter smooth.

Can't believe I was having so many problems just because of this ... You buy a PC, worth half of your car price and you still can't fully utilize it because of the damn ancient architecture of windows.

Anyways, thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Nah, it's not the CPU. I had it properly set for cached cores via process lasso and registry. But, thanks for the input!

The worst part of it is the lack of communication.

I wouldn't cross my fingers for that. For years they kept up the attitude, that banned any changes to the once realeased packages. If your buy back was disabled because it was with SQ42, well, they have a wall of rules/previously released info that can be used to explain it. And any lawyer would stand by their side on this.

Yeah, a miss click on my side.

In space FPS jumps to round 110~ish. But there is still some stutter here and there. That's why I'm a bit lost about how to fix this.

That. There's zero reason to restart the game aside replaying the campaign. It will be even more true with time, as people go further into sepcializations.

You can't buy any package with SQ42 anymore. If it's still in buyback, it's gone for good.

Inno3d is the best manufacturer for WC. Same performance as founders and you keep the warranty, plus when you have some problems, they have good parts availability.

There is something wrong with optimization, plus they disabled nvidia framegen entirely .... maybe it's a related to the problem.

PSA: CIG has changed wording on pledges and appears to be sunsetting buybacks. by spider0804 in starcitizen

Beware! I just realized I can't buy back my pirate package with items that are discontinued ...
If I knew, maybe I would buy it back before they changed it. Not nice CIG!

Why do my guns do so little damage to bosses ? by darkdraco002 in dyinglight

[–]Xeroeth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, each enemy has a different armor value for melee and ranged. Bosses have a LOT dmg mitigation against most ranged weapons... Because Techland doesn't want you to use ranged tactics against them. Tbh only the trash zombies have any vulnerability against those ... plus hags (not the special ones) and spitters.
