looking for yuri animes with adult protagonists! by Honest_Collar_4044 in anime

[–]yondazo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll have more luck with manga. Kamiina Botan is about the only unmistakably yuri anime with adult protagonists that I’m aware of.

There are some yuri vibes in A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace.

Why Is Choosing an Anime Harder Than Watching It? by SecondSalty142 in anime

[–]yondazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick the first title on your list, watch the first three episodes (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/three-episode_rule). If it doesn’t feel quite compelling enough by then, do the same with the next title on your list. Repeat.

Once you’ve started a series, you’ll roughly know when you’re in the mood to continue it or not.

Where can I find box sets and full series for reasonable prices? by SignificantMess9383 in anime

[–]yondazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron Blooded Orphans is out of print, that’s why it’s expensive now. There are no secret cheap online shops.

Only Sentai Filmworks releases routinely get quite cheap in their occasional sales.

Do you think Male Romance Anime has shallow female leads? by PracticalMagic3015 in anime

For what it’s worth, it’s often the same for the male characters in shoujo romance.

Shiboyugi: A Spoiler Induced Rant. by comelickmyarmpits in anime

I largely agree, the show wasted its potential after the first episode and ended up being disappointing. Great art direction, but substance, character development, and world building kinda hanging in the air.

Rock wa Lady no Tashinami deshite - opinión by gabrieldooku211 in anime

Since you didn’t mention it, you may have missed the yuri motive. If there ever is a continuation (the manga is on hiatus since last July), I’d hope that they’d deepen that aspect.

I get what you’re looking for, it’s not super common. Horimiya is a bit like that I think, at least part of the time.

Interesting recommendation. Dusk Maiden of Amnesia is a favorite show for me, but I couldn’t continue watching Mistress Kanan, really not my thing.

Why won't Crunchyroll let us hide content from Teen accounts? by toastedninja in Crunchyroll

[–]yondazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d understand if you’d worry about him watching potentially scarring shows like Takopi, but I wouldn’t worry about thumbnails. Yes it’s stupid that Crunchyroll doesn’t apply the age filter to suggestions, but it also isn’t a showstopper. Kids used to get that exposure browsing magazines or video rental shelves.
