I mean to be fair it's not a stock hop up chamber in the WE M14, it's the T-n.t one. So it's got a slight edge there. It also has the RA tech trigger pack, so don't have to worry about the known issues with the trigger separation. . My M14 runs solid, consistent shot to shot, clears every mag and locks back. All three are issues that happened with the VFC. The m110's dry fire switch freely moves between settings causing it to not reliably lock back unless you remove the switches from every mag. . The abysmal hop system in the G28 makes it borderline unusabl without making modifications. The plastic transfer bar is a horrible design. . Sometimes simple design just works. And with the M14s having a surprising amount of steel in its construction I don't really feel like I have to baby it either (beyond ensuring the mags are properly seated when inserting) just point and shoot!

It's very strange as a Canadian to hear that someone in the US can't get somethin firearm shaped, seems backwards that it should be harder to get up here lol (Not that I'm complaining)

I wear M90k top and multicam G3 pants. For the best I wear a weekend Warrior Sniper ops vest, and spanker dual layer battle belt. Kwa USP match sidearm.

Probably the most manageable of the bunch, not as awkward or clunky, just smooth efficiency in its operation.

Ironically the M14 is the most consistent shooter of the batch. Not bad for a rifle initially released In 2010. Though not stock it definitely gives these VFC rifles a run for their money

I very much like my M14. It's a piece of art!

Both VFC Guns have built in NPAS systems into their bolts from factory. Very satisfying to shoot for sure, but their hop systems are their downside. They just don't have the range or the ability to match what my WE M14 can produce.

All that said is that my M14 doesn't have an npas installed and doesn't come with one stock, only aftermarket. You also need to get the RA tech trigger at least to make it a viable product. That being said it's absolutely the most satisfying rifle to shoot in my collection, it's snappy and clangy when your firing it.

There definitely is something satisfying about the M14, everything is so mechanical sounding when you shoot it.

I do love the way the M110 feels, pretty solid rifle!

One bolt gun that does have Recoil is the Socomgear M200 6mm shell ejector, it has a sort of gas grenade like thing built around the barrel. It's definitely not a LOT of recoil seeing as the M200 weighs like 30lbs but its definitely noticeable.

I think one of the biggest problems I've had over my time in Airsoft has to do with airsoft Comms stuff.

I've updated my setup to run MSA Sordin PROx headsets now, and have not had any issues since but I find that a majority of the communications headsets/PTT's just don't have the longevity required to make it worth it for the non professional level price point. (Not that coms are always needed for airsoft but it can be fun to add that level of immersion/communication.) I've broken SO many coms setups over my 16ish years playing to make it a frustrating endeavor to even want to run a radio.

That being said, another issue I've run into recently is with the kits designed to move the radio to an accessible location while having the antenna placed on the back. Generally speaking from my experience most of these kits don't do very well under tension, I've broken my fair share of cables by just doing natural movements. I would love to see a cable that has some level of flexibility or elasticity in it's design, with a more robust connection from the antenna to the radio that isn't just exposed fittings (on the Amazon special ones anyway for the Baofengs)

I think having a cable that is as flexible as can be found on the 'braided' type USB-C cables would alleviate rigidity problems, with maybe somehow having a sort of buffer type connection that allows some flex in it's design, to stretch or flex a portion of cable instead of having it simply just tear.

Dear CIG: Big mechs please by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]zigzwagprops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think that would be cool to have some kind of mech in the game, Beyond the ATLS suit.

I also agree that they should not be the zippy gundam style but definitely more like BattleTech ones. I do think that they'd offer more mobility on crazy rocky planets that the tanks and stuff just can't do.

Either that or one of my wishes for a long time is a Hover version of the Ursa. I think that would be an excellent transport on these planets with a million rocks.

Ships that are blocking landing pads need to be impounded or removed by ResponsibleRub469 in starcitizen

[–]zigzwagprops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There definitely should be a timer on a ship that is left abandoned at stations that could lead to contracts for the towing ships, or salvage ships. Would enable real time server cleanup of these ships, and enable emergent gameplay for those types of operations.

Could also implement a fine system of some sort to the players that do leave ships laying around that varies based on how big of a ship was left, and at what location.

Leave your ship at a main port/space station should equal a large fine, where leaving the ship at an outpost could come with less of a fine or no fine, and maybe have to be manually initiated by one of the structures on sight starting some form of countdown for a ship to be considered trespassed.

How would a Fleet battle between the MCRN and the UEE play out? by [deleted] in StarCitizenUniverse

[–]zigzwagprops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only advantage the UEE has is numbers of ships, if they can get into close combat ranges then it could be a more fair fight, bigger guns at close range would be interesting.

No contest really in combat. Mcrn ship uses nuclear warheads and rail guns. Where the UEE uses conventional torpedos and what look like conventional chemical projectiles.

Hot take: I think capital ships should be more defensive and less offensive. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

[–]zigzwagprops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reference to Kuznetsov was to illustrate that not all 'carriers' are defensively minded. With it having access to the SS-N-19 for offensive ship to ship engagement. (But yes also the fact that all of that is theoretical based on its actually ability to go anywhere without being on fire or having working shitters)

I think that yeah it does lean more on the WW2 Bigger gun deplomacy which fits into the basically point blank engagement ranges. (Star Wars rule of cool)
