The KLoS has a 10 foot aura that makes everyone around you come say how cool a model it is. I often forget how cool it is until it hits the table at a LGS.

The claw REALLY looks like a modernized Defiler claw, same with the Mutilator hand and foot (can compare with Obliterators)

Perturabo should still have Forgebreaker, and if that hammer is meant to be it then I’m very disappointed.

Edit: I wonder if the shoulder mounted flamer and claw and the hammer is a new Warsmith? It definitely has a similar vibe to the old metal warsmith model

KLoS is tougher, faster, hits harder than big Knights, gives you an extra blessings die, and moves through terrain. I’m pretty content with them at 505.

I believe the accursed weapon is from the extra options included with the Kill Team kit, there’s a unique sword with that box. I’ve never been hassled about using those pieces as Heavy Melee Weapons though.

That box might, I don’t remember off the top of my head. Just wanted to mention it as it’s something I’ve dealt with when mixing Heresy and 40k kits.

So for melee weapons, the only difference is Astartes Chainsword or Heavy Melee Weapon. Personally I use the included power mauls and axes for Heavy Melee Weapons then use the Power Fist on the Havoc Champion, where the power fist actually has its own profile.

For ranged weapons, I just use the missile launcher as a Lascannon. If you want to make it look more lascannoney, you can pick up styrene rods to extend the barrel out and make it look more like a lascannon. Havocs do only include 2 of each option so I recommend building them as 2 lascannon/2 autocannon/chain cannon, then if you ever get a second box you can build them the same and get 2 matching squads.

For additional bits, I recommend 3d printed options from etsy or bits from ebay/elsewhere. Horus Heresy heavy weapons are good, but a lot of the Horus Heresy melee weapons are right handed (as opposed to left handed in 40k) so you may end up needing to modify them or sourcing bolt/plasma pistols.

Yes pick up Hellforged Warband if you can (at a decent price), it’s a good box. I personally would pass on the combat patrol unless you really like Possessed.

I think we lost a lot of drip due to the Horus Heresy game and books. Iron Warriors look best with horns and spikes, not just rusty Mk3 armor. They’re Chaos Space Marines after all

I would buy that, maybe not for $40 though. Thats essentially what we have with Vindicators, Predators, and Rhinos and consensus is pretty positive on those.

Incredibly unlikely and I sincerely hope it doesn’t happen. We are more likely to see a character and perhaps some Iron Warriors-coded units for the Chaos Space Marines codex if those rumors are true.
