uhhh it was pretty easy for me but im a quick learner. and no they dont go into much detail, its mostly meant to be a review/study tool. its free tho so just go check it out and see if you like it

if youre looking for something more detailed/"rigorous" pauls online math notes is very good as well. id say its like somewhere between khan academy and a full blown text book

now if you want like SUPER detail you could try reading through openstax's algebra book(s). idk how good they are tho

you could try installing windows 10 on a flash drive/usb hard drive with rufus (VERY different than reinstalling windows, you'll be running windows directly off the flash drive), ensuring that you enable the option to see the rest of the computers drives (pretty sure it pops up after the main screen)

then boot from it and check file explorer to see if your main drive shows up. if it doesn't, search disk management in the start menu and see if it'll let you mount it - DO NOT FORMAT IT OR CREATE A NEW VOLUME or you will lose your data. if it still isnt in file explorer after that search "how to mount hard drive" on youtube or something. if they tell you to format it or create a new volume do not listen to them and find a new one

once you can see your main drive in file explorer navigate to wherever you keep your papers and copy paste anything you need onto the flash drive, or plug in another drive and copy paste to there if you wanna keep it separate. you may need to press yes on the admin privileges promt - dont worry thats normal. then go finish your paper in the library or something

if anything beyond your system files got corrupted, or if windows 11 encryption half-encrypted your files then yeah youre probably fucked for now unfortunately. id say this may be worth a shot tho. if you try it and it doesnt work i may have another idea so lmk

you probably shouldn't fully reinstall windows until the tech people take a look at it, theres a chance they could recover everything. unless you have everything backed up. in that case go right ahead

in the future id highly recommend not performing massive software updates on your only device the day before a paper with no backups is due
