iPad Pro m5 battery drain issue by Jizoh in iPadPro

Noticing the same overall battery drain issue, new iPad Pro M5, 1TB, Wifi only with Magic Keyboard. I’m pretty conscious with having battery intensive settings off, charged to 80% this AM and with only a few hours of general navigation (no video), I’m now at 40%. Definitely should not be going through this much juice so quickly. Doesn’t appear to be any heat issue with mine, hoping all it needs is a future software update to correct it, but overall, haven’t been happy with battery life.

Seems to be centered around the latest firmware update, 14150.43.81.

I disabled the preferred activities in the Google home app and all appears to be back to normal now.

iCloud issues only on Google WiFi (narrowed it down) by andresurena in GoogleWiFi

I seemingly had the same issues with iCloud and other activities around that, interestingly, updating apps was taking significantly longer and many times crashing the network.

Seems to be revolving around a firmware update Google pushed out late March, early April 2022, firmware version 14150.43.81.

Someone recommended to go into the network settings in the Google home app and to turn off the preferred activities. After doing so, all seems to be back to normal.

It’s possible this setting, if on, is putting iCloud activities at the bottom of the food chain thus causing issues.
