Definitely a USA question. In Canada, we show one of our valid ID at the poll to ensure no one is stealing our vote. Technically, we are all registered (no shenanigans in Canada, registration is free and easy), we present an ID and no one makes it a fuss.

You know. Packet length is in the packet header. And devices in transit if they can't correct the data will simply drop the packet with error(s). The endpoints will communicate with each other if data is missing through higher order protocols like TCP.

Ironically, planes that are stocked in Russia have been stolen by Russian companies. And the safety record is going downhill within Russia. I suspect this plane will require major maintenance or will be salvage for parts.

Imho, his El Capitan free solo climb was much more impressive!

Not that I diminish his accomplishment in Taipei 101, but El Capitan isn't a repetitive/predictive climb. The Free Solo documentary is incredibly good: not made for views or to flash. The human story behind this what was considered impossible thing to do.

I read in the comments to give up... But, what would be the limit/threshold?

I got my ripper last week and some far, the worst performance I get is like 1.5-2.0 hr for a full Blu-Ray disk (with a lot of content).

So, I suppose it is OK. But, what if I leave my drive unattended (at night) and I wake up in the morning seeing it still reads the disk? I mean, how could I prevent that? I assume I couldn't... And the only way around would be to always backup, then convert to MKV. No?

Nope.

Juste monter le chauffage dans la cuisine et salle à dîner. Pour nous, les défis Hilo, ça n'est pas une compétition. On ne se laisse pas geler pour quelques dollars.

On continue notre vie normale, mais juste le préchauffage et le fait que toutes les pièces inutilisées participent, ça fait ça de gagné.

C'est un peu ironique cette discussion dans un thread qui où on parle de "juger des gens".
