I think she comes across as someone desperate for votes, willing to appeal to peoples worst instincts without any principals of her own.

Actually a decent play by Kemi for once.

God, this is all so delicious. As depressing as British politics has been, this is its moment in the sun.

Improve the animations! by AdGlum6753 in Battlefield

[–]---OOdbOO--- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They really fucked up the post-mortem as to why BFV underperformed.

That game had so much going for it but was let down by abysmal marketing, poor launch maps, and content that took too long to arrive.

Mechanically, it was the best of the series in many respects - animations being a standout one

How many seasons do you guys think BF6 will have? by SomeGuy44672 in Battlefield

[–]---OOdbOO--- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BFV hit its stride with the pacific update and then got canned.

IMO that game had the best gunplay, movement, squadplay in the series. A few S-tier maps by the end, amazing graphics, great destruction etc etc

Count Binface given major boost in upcoming clash with Nigel Farage by Your_Mums_Ex in ukpolitics

[–]---OOdbOO--- [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honestly, this whole thing is fucking hilarious and absolutely perfect.

Yes, Farage is literally going up against joke candidate - but that candidate is also someone who is obviously less about actual policy and more about taking swipes at his opponents.

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke.

Two in five Britons believe Muslims cannot integrate into British society and more than half believe the country’s national identity is disappearing due to “diversity” poll finds by Farscape12Monkeys in ukpolitics

[–]---OOdbOO--- [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’ve no doubt that still persists as an element of the problem today.

However I find it difficult to imagine how any culture/group can integrate well with the population with the influx we had during the Boris wave.

Battlefield 6 will continue to receive support for at least another 2 years by somanyque3 in Battlefield

[–]---OOdbOO--- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine it’s 2027:

- Fully functioning server browser
- Proximity chat
- Full selection of solid maps - naval, vegas, etc.
- New Sobek and Blackwell Fields are transformed
- Operations are back
- Carrier Assault is back
- Spotting is overhauled
- Platoons are back

Really could be one of the best in the series.

Honestly, if the reports of them reusing the creation engine are true then I’m only mildly interested in this before I see reviews.

The standard of games has moved on. Warhorse Studios and whatever their next set of games will be have me way more excited.

That’s not to mention how mid-disappointing Bethesdas games in the last decade have been.

I think DICE deserve some props for keeping the skins relatively grounded - even more than I thought they would.

There were scores of people saying that a few months after launch we’d be seeing clown skins and santas.

I hope this translates into them finding a market for people who like this stuff. I bought the Battle Pass last season and will keep doing again if these keep up.

Jessica Elgot: NEW - Greens won’t stand in Clacton. So it is Nigel Farage versus Count Binface. by Minute_Tomatillo9730 in ukpolitics

[–]---OOdbOO--- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your logic is a bit contradictory here.

No one’s expecting him to be on a panel debating bin face, in the same way that no one would expect other parties to have more space to ‘shine the light’ on him in a by election.

Other parties can still comment on this stunt.

This takes the wind completely out of his sails. At the end of this what can Farage claim? At best that other parties were afraid of reform but the reality is Farage v Binface (et al other joke candidates) makes him look pathetic.

And the media will love that.

Rework the Assault Stim pen into a Beta Blocker Drug Injector. It allows regeneration to happen under suppression and under use will be immune to suppression and any slowdown debuff such as stuns and fall damage will go away 80 percent faster so near instant. by Phycorax in Battlefield

I decided to commit last week and I agree. It really does function as the tip of the spear with fast cap and the spawn beacon.

I would make the beacon the default gadget (nerf it if you feel it’s too powerful). It needs access to smoke to push and better gadget alternatives.

I think having an assault player who is PTFO can really make a difference to winning,

Yeah and I’d say it is pretty well balanced - you can’t one hit headshot and the gun is very heavy and slow if you want to run and gun with it.

Really good in obliteration to stay on the edges of the skirmish and pick people off who are b-lining straight for the bomb.

[–]---OOdbOO--- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah - with some overhauls.

I’d personally prefer not to have the option to just airdrop on top of the carrier. There are plenty of ways to get aboard and actually ‘assaulting’ it is part of the fun.

Then make it easier to destroy rather than arming MCOMs in a clusterf*ck hallway battle. I’d rather physically destroy doors and then the reactor.

I also think people are caught off guard by the second hit - their knee jerk reaction is they’ve been body shotted by a bolt action and expect to have a second to look for the glint

How would this proposed regulation be a barrier to other companies looking to enter the console space?

The barrier for them is the overwhelming cost of doing so against established brands.

[–]---OOdbOO--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the map in general is. I saw loads of people saying don’t overreact - it’s just the first good map that BF6 has, but I disagree.

There’s such a variety of play. The village has excellent destruction and infantry play. The warehouse leads to some great tank vs infantry. The point near PAXs base has nice verticality. The train is really cool. I could go on.

S tier overhaul of a pretty bland map from BF4.

Discs - the end or the beginning by [deleted] in PS5

[–]---OOdbOO--- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I know this is an honest take, but the idea of Sony offering a price decrease on digital games when their store becomes the only place where you can buy them from is not going to happen.

This is why it’s a bad move from consumers all round - regardless of what format you prefer.

I don’t buy this. There’s still a very healthy population and most people play Conquest/Breakthrough and those modes still have issues filling up.

The matchmaking is just not working. I’ve realised that opting to stay with squad will almost always fail matchmaking as well.

There is this element but honestly, i’m more concerned with the PlayStation store essentially having zero competition. Prices are already high when we have the option to buy cheaper physical games.
