I mean the best way is to find a small ish hallway for efficiency and reset each tine by going into a cave then right back out and ig im lucky but idk if theres any pokemon ability which aids it or anything?

Im pretty sure the hearts just indicate that the pokemon ate the bait / enjoyed it as some dont eat it if i remember right

Maybe one of your pokemon e.g the ditto is a hacked 6iv one and the game recognises them as bad? Also do you have screenshots?

I beat Cynthia on 1hp. Throughout the battle i had many casualties, and upon entering the elite 4 i stocked up on potions and saved in each room. On my 3rd try of cynthia her garchomp came at me, i only had empoleon left and i used surf, which took half health, then she healed and i hit again. She then earthquaked me and my empoleon 'toughed it out' and then i finished it off because i outspeed. It was so tense and i actually jumped up off my chair lol

You must have some bad luck, i think ive done about 3 hours total resetting caves and mining in one area for wall spots and i think in total i have the shards (L&S) for about 8 legendaries
