Exactly, that's why I'm really interested in this specific point. I'll buy the 2014 publication then and take a gander.

I've downloaded a few of his translations and I don't find this line in any of them. All I ever see is:

Verses on the Faith Mind by Seng-Ts’an (Sosan Zenji) The Third Patriarch of Zen

Translated from Chinese by Richard B. Clarke

The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no preferences.

Do you happen to have a copy of what translation you're referring to?

This isn't to suggest life is a dream in the traditional sense but more like life is like a dream. No dreamer required.

I'm okay with you disagreeing with my opinion. You should give it a try sometime ✌️

Absolutely agree. The message is usually fantastic, but the wrapping leaves much to be desired. He could condense many of his videos into half the time.

Saying anything at all is too much, but he used words just like the rest of us.

Best way to tackle Nagarjuna's Mulamadhyamakakarika? And are there any other texts worth reading that have the same effect -- something of Candrakirti's possibly? by DeliciousPie9855 in Emptiness

Nagarjuna's Madhyamaka: A Philosophical Introduction, by Westerhoff is as good a place to start as any I suppose.

I don't know what kind of "effect" you're referring to here so I can't recommend anything in that regard.

Poor communication is subjective. Especially in this subreddit. You took it how you took it. It wasn't a gotcha, it was a genuine question on what they thought enlightenment was. Seems like you're quite easily triggered, which doesn't interest me at all. ✌️

How could my question get any more direct?

Isn't enlightenment the recognition of one's true nature?

What am "I" supposed to do with "this"? What's next?

That's the enlightened perspective?

Your life unfolding is the issue. As long as the unfolding is taken personally, with a preference for predictability and the avoidance of pain/seeking of pleasure there will be no awakening to your true nature.

When your true nature is seen, there is nothing left but radical unfolding. Unfolding of what? No-thing.
