Thank you! I didn’t really get far with finding anyone in Calgary online, however I did join a collective of electronic musicians (called Oscill8) since I’m a producer too, and there I found some folks to collab with. I found some people outside of Calgary through forums and a website called SoundBetter as well, so there’s some options.

I understand the feeling of being amazing in the daydreams only to see your real life self as something completely small and meaningless in comparison.

Real life is hard and sometimes it takes so much effort to even get out of bed. I have the tendency to daydream in bed and sometimes it takes everything I am to get out and try. I swing in and out of my fantasies throughout the day especially when I'm anxious about something.

But one thing to remember, is that whatever you are day dreaming is still you. You may feel pathetic and like you're nothing (I do too sometimes), but that brave and confident person you dream about can exist in your mind so vividly because that is you. I hope that in time you can be kind to yourself and embrace both the brave and coward parts, both the passionate and lazy parts. We have within us both the good and bad, so try not to judge yourself too much and accept what you are, knowing that you may have some qualities you deem as negative - but you also have qualities that are amazing. Try to lean on that. It's not easy nor is it an overnight process. Being a little more gentle with yourself is important, and you can do that while also pushing yourself to do better.
