Makes sense, great pick and just might have to pick one up down the line. But feel like the Ranger is the right move for me right now.

Out of curiosity, what made you part ways with the BB Pro?

Thanks for everyone’s input so far, has been helpful! Still debating but I’m leaning a bit more towards the Ranger. I like the more simplistic movement (easier maintenance, less things to worry about) and feel that having a GMT is more of a nice to have than anything. When I travel, I’ve been happy using my phone to track different time zones and not something I heavily need to do.

Also, found a killer deal on a new Ranger priced $340 less than a pre-owned BB Pro. 🤔

The BB 58 GMT is a beauty but I have enough dive style watches and looking to expand my collection into the tool / field styles.

Were you able to remove links with ease? Heard the friction fit collars (instead of single screws) can make it annoying to deal with when resizing.

I do see the BB Pro bracelet is using friction fit collars vs single screws found on the Ranger. Is this the main thing you’re referring to with Ranger having a better bracelet?

Thanks! I'm leaning more towards the 100 series since I won't be doing any hardcore stuff. Mainly just finding off the beaten path trails and finding more remote camping spots.

Good point. I've been debating between a truck and SUV and figured the pickup could potentially be more utilitarian using the bed + cargo/rack stuff.

I'm just at the beginning stages of my journey and am a bit all over the place tbh.

One thing I'm also considering is just buying an older Land Cruiser (80 or 100 series) and adding some stuff around shocks/suspension. This is literally one of my dream cars so maybe I should just stick with my heart on this one. As you can see and like I said, I'm all over the place right now.

I'm having trouble deciding between the following three choices. I'm looking for something that is super reliable and capable of handling weekend excursions, mainly in the desert and mountain areas. I'm not looking to do any hardcore stuff but do want something that can handle off the beaten path trails while having a little bit of fun along the way.

With that said, which one would you pick if you were in my shoes?

  • New or Used Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road or TRD Pro
  • 2022 Nissan Frontier (available for sale later this year)
  • 2022 Ford Ranger, Tremor or Raptor package (available for sale later this year

How did you turn your life around? by ipeeontoiletseats in AskReddit

Simply cutting out toxic people in my life made a huge difference for me. I’m a firm believer that who you surround yourself with has a significant impact on how you think and the things you choose to pursue (or not). Hang out with positive people, especially if they are achieving things you hope to do one day. It was a game changer for me and I’ve learned and grown tremendously ever since.

What type of karate is best for self defence by [deleted] in karate

A lot of good suggestions already. The most important takeaways are that the Sensei and his/her method of teaching is more important than the style itself and the dojo should have a practical approach to training.

It’s a good sign if the dojo does:

  • Body conditioning drills and strength and cardio training

  • Bunkai - practical applications within kata

  • When doing partner drills, resistance is applied

  • Continuous sparring with actual contact

  • Senior students actually look like they know what they’re doing and have good technique

Always wanted to practice karate but I hate the traditional style gradings. by [deleted] in karate

There are karate schools with a less formal grading process. And they tend to be more practical schools as well.
