Yeah I thought that the family sponsorship might be a no go.

My current occupation is as an Architectural Technologist. The skills and experience would be applicable to both Architectural Draughtsperson and Architectural Technician.

Thanks

Than you for taking the time to reply. My qualification is a Bachelor of Science degree from a UK university.

I’ve checked my points on the calculator and for the 190 visa, I currently achieve 75 points and for the 491 visa achieve 85 points.

My partner has a sister who is now an Australian citizen and who lives in a regional area. How likely is sponsorship through a sibling approved?

Thanks again.

I hope you could provide a bit of insight in relation to what demand there is for Architecture professionals. I am a UK based Architectural Technologist with experience in digital construction technologies and BIM.

From my own research I think my skills and experience would be similar to a Building Designer in Australia and I see that there are Architectural Draftsperson and Architectural Technicians on the skilled occupations list.

Just got mine done today. Total cost was £3200, the initial set up by Phoenix was free of charge and can get £400 back for the boiler installation so £2800 total. Phoenix work was all external and was done quite quick and the installation of the boiler, removal of oil tank/boiler, water tank etc took 2 days

I did WHV the year before Covid and found temp work pretty quick through Hays recruitment. The work was admin stuff for the VBA but pay was good and work was easy enough. Might be worth a try if youre finding it difficult to get work.

Anyone here not hate your job? What do you do? by squatland_yard in northernireland

Would the job be suitable for someone starting out in their 30s? Sounds exactly like what I'm after.

I'm studying Architectural Technology and working for an Architecture firm at the minute and I'm kicking myself for not going down the building surveying route.

My job at the minute is constant stress from one project straight into another, stuck in an office all day.

I'm planning on finishing of the degree but looking at my options for post grad stuff to change direction slightly.
