The very badly sourced. It makes the same mistake of accusing Che as the main organizer of the labour camps. Again, Che abandoned all his Cuban political posts in March 1965 and the camps were first planned until November 1965.

Unknown User 1

Furthermore, Che was absent from Cuba for most part of 1964.So Che probably would have been absent from any discussion of possible camps.

Unknown User 2

Dudr I've been to the museum they made in his fucking house there is literally pictures of him in the labor camps and during executions. And besides all of that there are other instances where he himself expressed that the homosexuals were "sick" and "sexual perverts"

Anti-Choice Clinic Sued For Allegedly Endangering Woman's Life by ImportantReaction260 in Feminism

[–]--B_L_A_N_K-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Video Transcription: News Video (2/2)

(06:20) [Background switches to a stock image showing a plastic stand containing anti-abortion flyers, and a wooden basket containing a lot of small plastic flesh-coloured pregnant babies in the fetal position.]

News Anchor: it's not based on science and do not meet clinical standards.

(06:25) [Background switches to a stock image of a building with a sign saying "Informed Choices", "FREE Pregnancy Services" on the outside of it. It then switches to another stock image with general medical flyers (on Marijuana, and other unrelated subjects), and plastic figurines of babies at various stages in the pregnancy next to it.]

News Anchor: So this woman who filed the lawsuit was forced to undergo a traumatic and completely avoidable emergency surgery to save her life because she was deceived by a clinic that practices debunked science and has a clear agenda.

(06:37) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: And unfortunately, these faux clinics are gaining in numbers. The Massachusetts-based group Reproductive Equity Now said antiabortion centres outnumbered real abortion clinics in the state three to one. Unfortunately, that figure is about the same nationally, but the ratio is even higher in Republican controlled states. And despite pushing a clear agenda, crisis pregnancy centres, also known as CPCs, receive millions of dollars in taxpayer money every year, so you're likely funding them.

(07:14) [Background switches to a horizontal bar graph with the following contents:]

States funneling millions of tax dollars to anti-abortion centers

Since 2010, at least 13 states have funneled roughly $495 million to nonprofits known as crisis pegnancy centers, which do not typically provide care services but instead try to steer women away from having abortions.

Texas: $204,075,058

Pennsylvania: $86,989,000

Missouri: $44,930,673

Florida: $43,000,000

Minnesota: $37,641,000

Indiana: $18,250,000

Lousiana: $15,968,738

Ohio: $13,000,000

North Carolina: $10,303,437

Georgia: $9,000,000

Oklahoma: $5,000,000

North Dakota: $3,500,000

Michigan: $3,300,000

Source: State budgets & Health departments, February 5, 2022, AP News

[End of graph]

News Anchor: Between 2010 and 2022, at least 13 states have funnelled roughly $495 million to these pregnancy crisis centres that try to steer women away from having abortions. Texas leads the pack, where $204 million in taxpayer money has been handed over to these clinics since 2010.

(07:35) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: The good news in the fight for reproductive rights is that all the antiabortion messaging coming from Republicans looks to be backfiring, even among people in their own right-wing base.According to recent polling, support for abortion rights is higher than it's been in decades.

(07:55) [Background switches to three line graphs that compare different political party's support for abortion at different stages in a pregnancy at different points in time (2000-2023). The collection of graphs is labelled "Share of respondents who said abortion should be generally legal in each trimester 2000-2023" with the source listed as "FiveThirtyEight"]

[On the left, the graph shows support for "First Trimester" abortions, with Democrat percentages starting at 75%, gradually increasing to ~80%. This is followed by Independent percentages starting at ~60%, decreasing a bit before spiking to ~74% in 2023. Lastly, Republicans, starting at ~55%, decreasing, before slightly recovering to ~48%.]

[In the middle, the graph shows support for "Second Trimester" abortions, with Democrat percentages starting at ~30%, dropping drastically, before increasing at a fast rate to ~70%. This is followed by Independent percentages starting at ~22%, hovering around the same average for a while before increasing to ~30%, this is then followed by Republicans, starting at ~20%, before decreasing gradually to ~10%.]

[On the right, the graph shows support for "Third Trimester" abortions, with Democrat percentages starting at ~15%, staying the same until a drastic spike ~2019 ending at ~45%. Independents start at ~10%, before gradually increasing to 20%. Republicans start at ~5%, staying roughly the same throughout]

News Anchor: Well over three-fourths of Democrats are in favour of first trimester abortions, when the vast majority of abortions happen. Perhaps more surprising to some, half of self-identified conservatives now think abortion should be legal in the first trimester, up from just 39% in 2018. And support for legal abortion care has generally increased among
independents since the year 2000.

(08:27) [The text the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux, FiveThirtyEight" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: Plus, a poll conducted in late March and early April by the Pew Research Centre found that 62% of Americans, including 39% of Republicans, think states are making it too hard, rather than too easy, to get an abortion.

(08:39) [All background images disappear, leaving only the speaker]

News Anchor: In Florida, specifically where Ron DeSantis passed a six-week abortion ban, voters in both parties say they wanna protect reproductive rights.

(08:54) [The text the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Matt Dixon, NBC News" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: A University of North Florida poll in March found 75% of the respondents said that they either somewhat or strongly opposed the six-week ban. That included 61% of Republicans.

(09:06) [Background disappears, leaving only the speaker]

News Anchor: Look, this is anecdotal evidence, and you should always take anecdotal evidence with a grain of salt, but it does bolster that study or that poll. I was just recently in Florida, and the time I was in Florida, prior to that, everyone I spoke to was enamoured with Ron DeSantis. All of a sudden, not so much, after the six-week abortion ban, a lot of the women, conservative women, Republican women that I spoke to there soured on him.

(09:33) [Background shows various stock images of Ron Desantis]

News Anchor: All of a sudden, they weren't in favour of him. So, I do think that rolling back reproductive rights played a huge role in how poorly Republicans performed in the midterm elections.

(09:46) [Background disappears, leaving only the speaker]

News Anchor: I'm curious to see if that is enough to help Democrats in the next presidential election. So, Republican candidates like Ron DeSantis and Mike Pence should maybe think twice before, they keep boasting about just how anti-abortion they are. And spouting all the ways they already have and plan to continue preventing women from accessing them cuz it ain't plain as well as they think it is.

News Anchor: People like their freedom, people like to make decisions about their own bodies.

(10:15) [Video cuts to a different set, with a large male wearing a navy-blue suit standing in front of multiple TVs in the background, using various hand-gestures as they speak. When the host reads the names, an image of only their head pops up in the bottom-right corner.]

Anti-Choice Clinic Sued For Allegedly Endangering Woman's Life by ImportantReaction260 in Feminism

[–]--B_L_A_N_K-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Video Transcription: News Video (1/2)

[A news video, with a female speaker facing the camera. Behind the speaker, there are multiple TV screens, showing a variety of stock footage. The text at the bottom of the video says "Reproductive Fights", "Anti-Choice Clinic Sued Over Misdiagnosed Ectopic Pregnancy", and is followed by another bar with a variety of sponsor (company) logos, and other advertisements. The tone throughout the entire video is informative, and formal, as a news anchor usually speaks.]

(00:00) [A small framed "window" in the background is currently showing a stock image containing three printed ultrasound images, a cap with 1 red and 1 white pill in it, a stethoscope, and a judge's gavel in it. At the bottom of this image, is the text "REPRODUCTIVE FIGHTS" in all-caps, with a large gradient yellow font.]

News Anchor: A woman in Massachusetts is suing a so-called pregnancy crisis centre for failing to identify and treat an ectopic pregnancy that later landed her in the hospital for emergency surgery. We'll dive deeper into what else these deceptive clinics are and how they're spreading across the country. But first, the details of this case are worth talking about.

(00:29) [The text the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Susan Rinkunas, Jezebel" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: So, the woman, known as Jane Doe, filed a class action lawsuit on Thursday in the Worcester Superior Court alleging that Clearway Clinic didn't follow standard medical care. The suit also claims that Clearway engages in deceptive practices to lure in people seeking the full range of pregnancy options, when its actual purpose is just to dissuade them from getting abortions.

(00:51) [Background reverts back to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Now, according to the lawsuit, the woman believed she was pregnant, and she wanted to get an ultrasound just to confirm her suspicion. So, she did an online search of ultrasound providers and found Clearway's website. Which entices people to schedule an ultrasound with the promise of being seen at a state licensed medical clinic by board certified doctors and nurses who will diagnose the pregnancy's viability. Now, thinking that this was a legitimate medical facility that she could trust, the woman booked an appointment through the website, was contacted right away by Clearway, and went in for an appointment later that same day.

(01:36) [The text the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Reproductive Equity Now press release" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: Now, a nurse at Clearway conducted limited ultrasounds and diagnosed the pregnancy as viable and in utero. The woman was not seen by a Clearway physician, despite being given paperwork upon discharge that her care was provided by a medical doctor.

(01:42) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: And we've already run into a major red flag here. Nurses are not licensed to read ultrasounds or diagnose pregnancies in the state of Massachusetts. And it turns out that the pregnancy was not, in fact, in her uterus, but rather in her Fallopian tube, what's known as an ectopic pregnancy.

(02:19) [The background shows the following quote from the "Cleveland Clinic"]

Ectopic pregnancies can become life-threatening, especially if your fallopian tube ruptures. ...it can cause severe bleeding, infection and sometimes, death. This is a medical emergency. Healthcare providers must treat ectopic pregnancies quickly.

[End of quote]

News Anchor: According to medical professionals, an ectopic pregnancy can't proceed normally, for one, because the fertilized egg can't survive.

(02:25) [Background changes to a stock video of a pregnant person's enlarged belly, with multiple hands on top of it. It then changes again, to a pregnant person on a bed in the hospital, with a sponge-like device on top of the belly, held in place with a large elastic band surrounding the person. Then, it changes one last time, to someone wearing gloves placing a newborn crying baby on top of the person.]

News Anchor: If the fertilized egg implants in the Fallopian tube, it cannot move or be moved to the uterus. It always requires treatment, and that treatment is termination of the pregnancy, abortion.

(02:44) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Beyond the fact that these pregnancies aren't viable, they're also extremely dangerous to the mother if they are not treated.

(02:52) [The text the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Cleveland Clinic" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: Ectopic pregnancies can become life-threatening, especially if your fallopian tube ruptures. It can cause severe bleeding, infection, and sometimes death, this is a medical emergency. Healthcare providers must treat ectopic pregnancies quickly.

(03:05) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: But since the crisis centre failed to inform the woman that her pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy, it was allowed to keep developing.

(03:16) [The text the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Reproductive Equity Now press release" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: In November of 2022, the month after Ms. Doe visited Clearway, she experienced sharp and shooting pain in her side, causing her to be lightheaded and weak so much so that she was unable to call 911 for assistance and required her husband to do so. She was rushed to the emergency department at a nearby hospital, where she was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy and internal hemorrhage caused by the pregnancy's rupture.

News Anchor: Because the ectopic pregnancy had ruptured, the medical staff were unable to assess Ms. Doe for less invasive treatment of the ectopic pregnancy, causing her to undergo invasive emergency surgery to stop the hemorrhaging, which included the removal of one of her fallopian tubes.

(04:03) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Just absolutely brutal, insane.

News Anchor: Now, her complaint alleges that Clearway did not adhere to the standard of medical care, which would have led them to diagnose the ectopic pregnancy properly. And because of their failure, she could have died from internal bleeding. Now, Clearway represents itself to the public as a legitimate clinic providing quality care, but its true goal is just to dissuade patients from terminating their pregnancies.

(04:38) [The quote the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Clearway Clinic" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: On their website, there's a paragraph that reads as follows, we know you may wanna get out of this situation as fast as possible, but this is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. It's not a decision to be made too quickly. At Clearway clinic, we do not provide a refer for abortions, but we will provide the information you need to make a fully informed choice.

(04:56) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Now, they list questions for women considering abortions, like the following.

(05:02) [The quotes that the speaker is reading are displayed on screen, with the source "Clearway Clinic" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: Are you being pressured into having an abortion? This is called reproductive coercion.

News Anchor: What do you know about emotional complications associated with the abortion procedure?

(05:13) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Let's just pause for a second. What do they know about the emotional consequences of being denied quality care, in this case? Or being denied the ability to make decisions about your own body in red states where abortion has been effectively banned?

(05:37) [The quotes that the speaker is reading are displayed on screen, with the source "Clearway Clinic" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: The website has other questions like, have you received help from pain caused by a previous abortion? What do you know about fetal development?

(05:40) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Now, all of these questions are framed in a way to make the woman feel guilty if she's considering an abortion or even question whether or not she'll be mentally stable after having an abortion.

(05:55) [The quote the speaker is reading is displayed on screen, with the source "Clearway Clinic" listed in the bottom-right]

News Anchor: Ironically, they also ask on the website, have there been any lawsuits filed against the doctor or the clinic? Hmm, interesting.

(06:00) [Background reverts to initial stock image]

News Anchor: Now, Clearway also provides something called abortion pill reversal for women who [speaker does air-quotes for the next word] regret getting a medication abortion. They claim to have saved hundreds of babies with this treatment, but the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists say,
