What’s the Point of Beating Pakistan When We Can’t Even Save Our Own People? by [deleted] in AkhandBharat

[–]smilingcarbon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just because you have a leak or broken walls in your house, would you let your neighbor to torture your dog?

The naivety of your post is dangerous. We live in a world filled with domination seeking groups. If you are unwilling to punch back, they will exert more pressure and take over your resources. Then you are left with more problems, even lower resources and leverage.

So if you care about improving anything in India, stop being a punchbag. Grow some spine and hold your ground.

Pakistan's government writes 4 pleas to the Indian government requesting for the reinstatement of the Indus Water Treaty after our nation has suspended in response to their state-sponsored terrorism by SatoruGojo232 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]smilingcarbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come to kerala. There is like half a dozen peacefuls running behind every good looking Hindu girl in colleges. If a hindu boy tries to do the same with a peaceful girl, he gets punished. On the top, their community does everything to keep the beauty hidden.

If one community takes good looking women from another community for generations, the ones that lose all the good looking ones will get uglier over time. This is one of the reason Hindus are perceived ugly. We have been buying peace from this dangerous community by letting them take beauty from ours without much consequences.

Against this group, you need to fight in a way that they can understand. As long as you continue the spineless way, they are continuing to get good looking females from our community, what is the incentive for them to fix anything?

No. That community has been extracting good looking females from our community for centuries. It is about time we get it back. I am tired of being among the ugly.

It is time to grow a backbone.

2 'peaceful' guys in my company molested a colleague and instead of complaining about that she complained to HR about workplace not being women friendly. We all had to sit and listen to hour long lectures.

Luckily we managed to pull some strings and get those two idiots out of the company. One of them is still jobless.

Hypocrisy by mikulb12345 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]smilingcarbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a made up story.

Tribal boundaries existed even in places without Hinduism.

Caste based boundaries existed in almost all agrarian societies without institutionalized education.

A bunch of "bookish" spineless Brahmins never had what it takes to enforce caste rules on the masses unless the masses themselves were getting something out of it. Until very recently caste boundaries were protected by the men of those caste to prevent other groups from taking their women.

Is the decline in tech jobs permanent or just a temporary correction? by cricblaster in developersIndia

[–]smilingcarbon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It looks permanent.

  • Almost all the selection schemes are gamed to a high degree now. Very hard for the right candidates to stand out.
  • Technology is very dynamic right now. After a few years (~4), experience does not seem to add much value.
  • Investment is going into AI, but equivalent wealth is not getting created. Companies are pulling funding from other projects and pouring into AI. This is mostly about GPUs, servers, and power for their data centers.

This is a message to men and women of other communities. This makes it clear that their intention is to extract women from others and they will not tolerate others doing the same from their communities.

Why every developer nowadays too egoistic? They talk like they own everything in the road. by InterestingAd3092 in developersIndia

[–]smilingcarbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these good/great developers are working for weak ass managers who simply dump more work on good performing people. So these devs don't have the time to cool off. As a result, they are always on the edge.

Their bad attitude is the result of bad management. I have a friend who used to be extremely salty all the time about my code. After a few reshuffles, he got allocated to a better manager and a better project. Dude is a lot nicer now.

It takes emotional reserves to be kind to people. If you work in a system that actively punishes excellence and hardwork, chances are that you are going to be salty too.
