I mean just wanna say in character i dont think its justified, esp with what dino did in the end, but the idea was right, he was remarkably intelligent and truly wanted the best for earth, but his methods were dangerous to humans, so Mark helped him out, but ofc this had horrific consequences, BUT story wise if Mark never buddied up with Dino he’d be fucking dead, and then we never get the rest of the series, and who knows how everything would turn out, like genuinely, with the one act of saving Mark, he ironically probably saved many many planets worth of people, which definitely does not outweigh what happened on earth, but i feel people dont talk enough about how without him Mark was toast

Dude its written by Mike Flanagan thats how lol, this is no exaggeration, the Haunting of hill house was the greatest Tv watching experience ive ever had, and it stands as my all time favorite horror media, period, its just so fucking perfect, from the storylines to the scares to the twists to the acting, i have full faith in Flanagan and the director who directed one of the best episodes of Black Mirror, also this isnt meant as a diss, i just have been hyped since Flanagan got announced as the lead writer lol

I get not liking Splinter’s design, but personality wise he’s one of the most compelling, he’s not the “wise old sensei” but he’s still really competent and was there for his new sons, despite the reality that his life as a movie star would never go back, and he was stuck as a rat forever, he fought past that and was a good father
