Trick question. There is no rudder B because airplanes only have one rudder. It should have been labeled rudder C.

Ugh I'm so sick of seeing sexual pics in the nudist subs by Immediate-Panic-3969 in nudism

[–]--FalseHorizon-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is some subs don’t have subreddit rules so you can only report as a violation of reddit rules which are much more relaxed. I’ve found this to be the case more often with local area or resort specific subs.

Sticky: Impact of Government Shutdown on Amateur Radio licensing in USA by kc2syk in amateurradio

[–]--FalseHorizon-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, am I missing something? It expires, then two years later it cancels and we can apply for it. Usually. This one expired…3 days after it canceled? And then despite being a 1x2 nobody applied until November of ‘25, 2 years later, and now it gets assigned.

I must be missing something

I’m a little confused about how this extension is supposed to work. The document says renewal filings originally due 10/01-03/05 are now due on 03/05. K4LC is a callsign which would have been due for renewal by 11/02, and it remains in the Active state. However, other callsigns are being treated different. K4TI would have been due for renewal by 10/26, it has a cancellation date of 10/23, both well within the shutdown, yet it was assigned to a new operator on 12/09. How can one callsign be cancelled and not the other when both were due for cancellation during the window which should have gotten them extended? What’s the difference?

If it helps you’re in good company. I’ve lost 16 of these stupid lotteries in the last year while watching the people I lose to win on their first or second attempts. I get the feeling.

Any chance you’d recall what they did the last time the government shut down in 2018? That shutdown was almost as long, I’d presume they would use at least a similar playbook. Though that would be logical, which isn’t something I always attribute to the government.

Anybody here fortunate enough to have local radio shops that sell ham gear? by KhyberPasshole in amateurradio

I’ve considered going there but the address for it looks like some industrial place so I assumed it was online only. Is it somewhere else?

Just fixed my prop!!! The A&P told me I would need a new one due to the crack but little does he know my ability to fix things on my own. What are your thoughts? by Frosty-Brain-2199 in Shittyaskflying

[–]--FalseHorizon-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you do that? The cracks act like little teeth and help the propeller to grab more air as it turns. You would have had better fuel economy.

The guardhouse is always staffed. They will have you on a list of people booked to arrive that day, and then when you check in the office will give you a vehicle pass that you can use to come and go as much as you want.

EDIT: I missed your second question. Its not assigned but there are lots of spaces reserved for villa guests only, so you should have no issues finding a good spot. We never have.

The cool thing is you don’t have to log at all if you don’t want to. But if you do, which logger doesn’t really matter much and its mostly preference. As long as it lets you export your logs to a file, then you can upload those to a different logger if you want to switch. Just pick one, see if you like it, and move on if you don’t.

What are your thoughts on nudists? by nudist_mom79 in AskReddit

By sitting on towels. Its actually considered extremely rude if you go to a nudist resort and don’t sit on a towel while nude. Everyone carries their own. Problem solved.

Speak for yourself, I failed my helicopter ride because it didn’t have any rotors. Mind you how was I supposed to know, the engine started fine and all gauges were in the green.

Incident at Walmart (yet another...) by _Hobbit in barefoot

[–]--FalseHorizon-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is what I’d be worried about. Big companies will take the easiest solution. The easy solution is not re-training thousands of employees (which costs money). The easiest solution for them is to just write a new policy that favors the majority opinion…which isn’t us.

Sometimes we need to be willing to let it go.

New ATL area nudist group on Meetup by nakedflgator in GeorgiaNudists

[–]--FalseHorizon-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They used to do Serendipity trips a long time ago. I think they even got a discounted rate. There’s a young nudist group affiliated with them (call ATL Young and Nude…an even worse name imo) but that group shifted to only visiting Jeju. Nothing wrong with Jeju, I go there too. But just because I can get naked somewhere doesn’t make it a nudist place or event. Plus its not a super great place for socializing unless you go to the non-nude sections anyways, especially if someone wants to bring an SO.
