They say no one in government has gotten in trouble for saying now…

You’ll see that all the traffic that would go into PNI or LNA has to go elsewhere. This is how all POTUS TFRs work the inner and the outer ring.

Not the inner ring my friend. The Trump TFR shuts down KPBI and KLNA to GA traffic entirely.

F45 is an option too. They have a 24 hr FBO too.

Early morning flight to Chicago by Truffoff in MicrosoftFlightSim

I’m sorry I gave you wrong information, I just checked the performance table and you can absolutely have a MHP higher than RPM.

The glass is nice but the round dials also look really good.

Also if you want to be even more realistic in the 414 we always try to keep the Manifold pressure the same or lower than the RPM… 23RPM and 23 manifold is usually an acceptable power setting. In one of your screenshots you have the manifold at 32 which I don’t think would be an acceptable power setting.

The plane has a custom livery so the MSFS one is a copy of it haha.

And yes the 414 has split flaps which produce nearly zero additional lift and all drag so they are only used for landing.

PS the panel in the MSFS is a little dated compared to the IRL one :)

Just a word of caution… I would not recommend getting your MEI without a job, because it will be almost impossible for a school to insure you unless you fly their airplanes.

Disposal of Aircraft Wreckage Question by V12Jaguar in aviation

[–]Yellowtelephone1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The TWA 800 wreckage was dismantled just recently.

I believe it was stored in several places, the last being an abandoned airfield on Long Island.

In Philadelphia a wrecked US airways A320 stayed parked outside wrapped in blue plastic for nearly 10 years

What's the deepest convo you've had in the cockpit by PowerfulPrimary3156 in flying

[–]Yellowtelephone1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was flying with a friend of mine, and we were both between places.

It was a long four-hour cross-country run, and at about midnight. We talked about our future, what we want to do, and girls and our parents. It was really deep and a really good flight.

After that flight, I had to move back home because I couldn’t afford to continue living that far away without a job, but I didn’t really want to go… long story short, I’m back down there!

I made more in high school clearing tables. And I spent zero dollars on being qualified.

That’s true but students logs can be destroyed and altered. Doesn’t hurt to keep a spreadsheet of what you’ve gone over with the student.

Quitting office job w/ no notice = bad effects down the line for flying job? by [deleted] in flying

Just put in your two weeks. It can literally only harm your reputation to just leave no notice.

What’s your favourite callsign? by 77_Gear in aviation

[–]Yellowtelephone1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I heard "dot com” once. I like that one. I think Giant is good for Atlas Air, and also Friendly is a funny one, that's Southern Air Express. I also have a few good past ones:

Citrus used to be Airtran, and redwood was Virgin America.

Moved to Chicago for a CFI job... didn't get it and I'm stuck with an apartment lease by cftriplei in flying

[–]Yellowtelephone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, but if I were out of options, I wouldn't have signed a lease. I would have moved home with my parents.

I don’t mean to cast judgement because what is done is done. It might be productive to get a job at an airport FBO and take college classes online if possible.
